Visiting my brother in Durham and he took us to Nuvo Taco. The food and service were excellent. A very casual and fun atmosphere, it was very busy while we were there. Between 3 people we had tacos with chicken, garlic beef, chorizo, grilled shrimp, and pork. We had a side of esquite street corn which was super delicious.

Super cute spot. I’m a regular here. Love their chips, queso, and salsa (especially since they keep it flowing through the whole meal). Great mixed drinks and the food isn’t too greasy or heavy! Love this place.

Have I not reviewed NuvoTaco yet?? Best Mexican food in Durham. My family and I love this place and have probably been a few dozen times. We take every visitor from out of town here. We have a few different diet restrictions and they are so accommodating. Food is fabulous, quick, and affordable. Incredibly convenient to order from our table, although you can order with a person as well. Approachable and adorable atmosphere. Good for a casual date or a family outing. We always sit at their outdoor seating, which has fans and heaters depending on the season. At the table in this photo, you could fit 8 people. Hard to find parking, but there is a reason.

We’ve been coming here for several years, starting back when it was NanaTaco. Overall the food is very good. Margaritas are excellent. Stick with the afterburn marg and you can’t go wrong. This visit we had garlic beef burritos and nachos. The garlic beef had great flavor, good cut of meat. They aren’t as large as they used to be, but still good. The cucumber salsa was very refreshing with the nachos. I do miss the different salsas and and sides they used to have which were amazing! The ordering system is all electronic which I’m sure some love, but I like to order in person to be able to ask questions and make any changes needed. The place has a nice relaxed atmosphere, fun for friends or just hanging out any say of the week. Can’t go wrong here.

Actually it is a little bit difficult to review. I had their salad once and i love it so went the this time with high expectation. I ordered food which I can’t remember the names, a soup too. They we’re delicious, but too heavy for me a little bit. The servers were great, nice just my soup was served without a spoon. When i asked for one, the nice waiter brought one for me and even kindly clean the spoon with his bare hand . But i am pretty sure he did that with good intention. Busy restaurant, which means they have good food and a lot of customers.

Just WOW! What a great spot! One of THE BEST margaritas I’ve ever tasted! Connor was amazing! Jennifer is so personable and really appreciates all her guests. We had the nachos and street corn. DELICIOUS! Will return soon!

I believe they have relatively few options for vegetarians, having visited there with the clients. Despite my explicit request, the server was unable to provide me with a satisfying vegetarian food; instead, I was served the kids’ lunch, which consists solely of rice and beans. Very dissatisfied because there was no flavor or seasoning in the food. Until they start serving some tasty vegetarian meals, I won’t be dining at this restaurant again.

We ordered the lunch special ( 2 tacos rice and beans with a drink). I ordered beef and my friend ordered chicken. They both tasted off. My beef was room temperature on the verge of being cold. She completely forgot my rice and beans. Chip and salsa was good.
