Went with the smash burger and fries for the teenager (no photos but it was very good according to my son). I had a grilled cheese with tomato soup and my wife had the clam chowder.
I was not expecting a full grilled cheese sandwich with the tomato soup so it was a pleasant surprise. They were generous on the cheese and it was nicely grilled. The tomato soup tasted home made, nice texture and wasn’t runny.
My wife’s Chowder was freshly made; the clams tasted like they just came from the boat and into the pot. The soup is homemade, so the potatoes, bacon and artichokes were freshly cut and tasted delicious. They also added a piece of butter (my wife didn’t care for it) that added a nice touch to the overall taste. Her soup did come with a freshly toasted piece of garlic bread. They do also offer other shellfish you could substitute but, when in Rome….
The waitresses were nice and friendly. One thing I noticed was that their lemonade was freshly made.
If you want good food with a nice view-very similar to Tides Tavern but with a smaller menu and dining room, check this place out.
Food is always exceptional. The perfect outdoor seating on a rare sunny January day in Seattle!
previously lived in Seattle. Actually, we came here for the first “official” date with my husband years ago, so it’s always been a special place for us. Now that we’ve moved back to the area, we came back & its just as warm & welcoming as I remember. Great food, beer selection & a nice locals vibe with wonderful service. So happy I now live a short drive away.
Also ordered the cod fish and chips. Fish was flaky and fries were great.
Caesar salad was nice and simple and a good way to get veggies in.
