Friendly staff with quick service.
Started off with a Baltic Porter beverage. Really good! Firecracker Shrimp for an appitizer. Recommend highly!
Main entry I went with the Millionaire meatloaf.
This is where my taste buds were trying to let things run. The redskin potatoes were great, the broccoli veggies were lacking flavor.
As for the meatloaf, nice portion and a smoky taste. Just had no outstanding flavors. Tasted burnt all the way through.
Overall not a bad meal. Just lacking a flavor pop. Great burbon and beer selection.
I do recommend this cozy place.

Twisted Oak Bar and Grill immediately makes a great impression with its beautiful aged red brick building—it has that classic downtown district charm that feels both nostalgic and welcoming. Outside, there’s a cozy patio seating area that’s great for enjoying a nice day. Inside, the bar carries that same warmth, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The menu was impressively diverse, offering something for just about everyone.
I ordered the ribeye sandwich, and it did not disappoint—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. It’s clear they care about the quality of their food as much as the ambiance.
Overall, Twisted Oak is the kind of place you’d want to visit again—whether for a casual drink, a solid meal, or a night out with friends.

Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. It has a nice outdoor area but beautiful inside. Though they have multiple high-quality dishes, ihave to say that the shrimp and grits are the best I’ve ever eaten! It’s a little high on price but, delicious food and good portions. Easy parking in front lot and also street parking.

Very disappointing. 10 minutes before our drink order came, had to ask for my salad before my meal otherwise it was all coming at the same time. Also, my daughter and I had our hearts set on chili and when it was time to order we were told it wasn’t available. Even though it’s on the menu and the first thing I asked was about the soup of the day so you would think the server would volunteer that. I ordered minestrone and it was lukewarm and tasted like it was from a can. My daughter’s Burger ordered medium well came out medium rare (see picture). My husbands meatloaf was the highlight but even that was room temp. The atmosphere is beautiful and I can’t help but think with a talented chef and better trained staff this could be the best place in the area.

Great place, great food, recommend the millionaire meatloaf as well everything else in our dinner was also very good. Hidden downtown Statesville and is a very nice dining experience. Service was great and nice. Will return if we are in the area.

Great food, great atmosphere, but sont go unless you bring a flashlight. Even at lunch the place is so dimly lit you needed one to read the menu. Otherwise its a great little spot with a good selection of burgers and entrees. They have a large selection of wine and craft beer however I do not consume alcohol. Service is hit or miss. Today we were not promptly waited on. We had to ask other servers for our check and this was at 2pm, they were not busy. Our server just did not attend tonis. Depends on which server you get.

After trying the sister restaurant and having a great experience, my family thought we’d try the twisted oak. It was utterly disappointing in every way. Our appetizer was forgotten, and all but one of the 4 meals were extremely bland and basic. The food is overpriced for the quality, the beef rib sandwich was bad, period. We will not be returning for overpriced bar food that lacks quality.
