We moved out of state over 10 years ago, and each time we are traveling here to see family, we must stop at Sophia’s. The food is always great, the chicken and dumplings, out of this world. Our grandchildren. Now grown, still love coming here with us. The service is always wonderful. Thank you for the great food and hospitality! We will always make it a point to gather here with family.

It’s a cute little diner on US 51 in Beloit. After living up the road for five years, i finally went there for breakfast with my friend Bob. Our waitress was great, and she made the whole experience of eating there great. My chocolate chip pancakes were delicious, and I will definitely be returning soon.

I went here on February 26th,2021 about 4:15pm and ordered a 8oz. Top Sirloin Steam meal which included choice of potatoes and Apple Sauce so got Hash Browns told the waitress Carol to drown them in cheese no matter how much it cost and also got a Chocolate Shake and it came with Chocolate Ice Cream for Desert all for with a 20% tip about 26 bucks the cook or own need to learn to cook the steak was small and tough and very distasteful and had to cut off a bit of fat too and the Hash Browns weren’t drowned in cheese like I requested and the place doesn’t social distance at all 30 people there not including staff members and they were busy but still the waitress was a tad rude but maybe that was cause she was overwhelmed by customers ?? Overall not bad but not a 4 star restaurant in my eyes !
By the way internet reception sucks here and getting into the parking lot off of 51 is crazy so be careful ! The views aren’t too bad though !

Family restaurant, vast variety of food. Good three pages of choices. I ordered tuna sandwich and it come with French fries. My friend got breakfast at dinner time. Both dishes was very tasty, not salty or greasy. Place has booth style sitting area and tables for big groups.

Great place for lunch. We were headed to a different restaurant (we are out of towners and were looking for a lunch place), saw this place with the parking lot full – always a good sign. Staff was great. Friendly, attentive, and professional. Food was good. Hamburger for me, chicken fried steak for my husband. Chocolate cake and apple pie for dessert. The coffee was good too! Would recommend.

I Always order breakfast here, which never lets me down. It is always very good. Tonight we decided to try their Thursday night specials. Chicken & dumplings and Beef Tips over noodles. Both were sooooo yummy!!!! Excellent restuarant for some really good homestyle meals!
