Coal-fired, thin-crust pizza, wings & pasta plus beer & wine in a hip, buzzing environment.

Solid spot in the heart of Harwich. Unique outdoor fire, bar, live music, and seating section, with many indoor rooms as well. Food was great, but nothing too excellent. The pizzas were good sizes, though everything was relatively expensive. Kind staff and not too too bad of a wait (they take reservations). Parking is a bit chaotic.

SO!! GOOD!! The chicken and waffles was AMAZING, pizza was fabulous, good selection of local and name brand beers. Bbq nachos were excellent as well. Service was fabulous.

We saw other reviews that were poor and decided to give it a try. That was a mistake. While the service was good the food was some of the worst I have ever had. The mozzarella sticks were cold so cheese was almost hard .The chicken was rubbery I couldn’t even chew it. The Alfredo sauce was pretty much butter . I had maybe 3 bites and that was more than enough. The menu pricing was also different than what was reflected on the check.

We came for lunch, just as we they were opening. The pizza was good although seemed greasy and salty for our taste. The wrap was really good. I recommend a double serving of fries with their sandwiches and wraps, not fries and pasta salad. The waiter recommended the pasta salad as a side, I wish I hadn’t listened. The pasta salad was served in the same size container as the ketchup. That was unexpected so I can’t say for sure if it’s that good due to being only 2 bites worth. We also got a side of boneless wings which were done nicely, came out piping hot, and delicious. Overall atmosphere, sitting outside under the shade was pleasant.

Amazing pizza! We stopped a weeks ago on a Friday night, busy but were greeted and seated right away by the lovely host. Our server was Lily, she was very sweet and helpful with suggestions like the mozzarella sticks, delicious! We had a large meat lovers pizza and it was loaded. Took the rest home, definitely worth a try.

Pizza is ultra thin! Could’ve use more toppings but it was good. 1000 degree oven cooks super fast! Wedge salad was delicious. Server would ask if we needed anything then whip around to get it without letting the rest of us speak and got annoyed when we asked for additional items when she returned. As a server myself, I make a point to list things needed all at once but she was too quick. We felt we were keeping her from something?

We went here on a Friday night at 8. We were able to get a table for 8 In about 15 minutes. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. We got the Margherita pizza and bbq chicken pizza and they were both good. We also got some wings and they weren’t great.

Maybe being from New Haven county spoiled me, but the coal fire pizza here was a tad off the mark. The service and the atmosphere were both exceptional: we had an attentive server and the outdoor patio area was spacious, clean, and well-designed.
The pie was lilly-white underneath despite having the signature coal-fire char around its circumference. (Maybe the stone in the oven wasn’t hot enough for service?) The dough was caked in flour, a difficult sensation to overlook while eating the pie.
It’s a cool place to hangout, but the food could use a little work. Also got the Buffalo cauliflower, it was also just okay…buff sauce came on the side rather than tossed.

I want to like this place so baaaaad! I do. But there are so many fixable things that are just not being fixed. I don’t understand. The menu was visibly dirty and sticky to the touch. For me, a dirty menu is inexcusable with 3 hostess standing at the host station. A large cheese pizza costs $24, but came out with 75% of the rim charred through. Yes its a thin crust and I get the brick oven and all that. But if you’re going to serve a thin crust, you should learn how to cook a thin crust. This may have been more of a QC thing because the 2nd pulled pork pizza came out with less char. But if I’m paying $24 for a cheese pizza, it better be the best damn cheese pizza every time. My son ordered a chicken parm entree for $32. The chicken parm was less entree and more kids menu. The chicken was way over cooked, dry and hard to chew. Maybe the chef was off tonight. I also ordered a greek salad that was delicious and a medium steak tip appetizer that came well done. The beer was cold. Our waitress Olivia was awesome. She was all smiles and took care of anything we needed. In Embers defense I did not bring any of these issues to their attention as I like my reviews to be genuine to my experience. My final bill was $200+ and I wish I ate elsewhere. I wil most likely not return.

Coal fired pizzas here have a thin crispy/burnt crust. See images. The topping combos are delicious. Gets very busy during peak summer months so I advise to have dinner earlier.
