It happened this past Thursday night! (11/20/25)
My BEST STEAK dinner ever at Thoroughbreds Chophouse & Seafood Grille. The steak tenderness, flavor and char were excellent. The entire meal was wonderful along with the salad, mashed potatoes and incredible cheesecake. We will return!

Thoroughbreds Chophouse is soooooo good. I will 100% recommend it for anyone who wants to go on a fancy date night. The salmon was absolutely delicious. I wish I could have gotten a picture of it to share with everyone reading the reviews but I couldnt wait. Enjoy the picture of the salad instead

My favorite atmosphere restaurant with top notch food.
I had the grouper with mashed potatoes and lobster sauce. Caesar salad is made table side.
Each room has a theme related to horses.
Our server Zana
was extremely accommodating, attentive and friendly.
Great birthday celebration for my parents’ birthdays.

We dine at Thoroughbreds Chophouse every year on Christmas, and it continues to be an exceptional experience. This year I ordered the rack of lamb, which was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding, and the food across the table was consistently excellent. Thoroughbreds remains a place we truly look forward to visiting each year and a holiday tradition we value.

Very nice restaurant. The staff was also nice. The food was pretty good. I prefer a little more seasoning but it was not bad.

We went for our Anniversary and the quality, taste of food, service by Zamah, and clean atmosphere are truly excellent. We are locals and were very impressed and they rate with famous chophouses in Charleston and Tampa. However, I do have to mention that for the prices we only got a tiny portion of mashed potatoes with our meals because of our entree choice. Even though we are not big eaters we thought another side should have been included without additional cost.

Since it was Christmas Day I honestly expected staff would be eager to rush us so they could get home to their loved ones. Instead, Susie, our server, was generous with her time and went out of her way to assure that we, too, would enjoy our Christmas dinner. And, although we’ve dined at Thoroughbreds in the past, the huge lobster tails as well as the calamari was the absolute best it’s ever been.

Nice place for a special occasion date, but very highly priced. The ambiance is amazing, don’t let the outside appearance fool you. Outside, it looks like an old chain-style steakhouse, but inside, it is set up like an old world mansion/estate. The lighting was a little too dim in the “library,” but our server turned it up so we could actually see our menus (Turn. Up. The . Lights…). They had a card and some decorations for our anniversary, which is an awesome touch. Salads and the bacon-wrapped scallops were not to be missed. My wife’s filet and lobster tail were great as well. The asparagus was done perfectly (which is tough to do-good job, Chef). Mashed potatoes were unremarkable-not amazing, not bad; just mashed potatoes. My steak was good, but for the price, I want amazing (I’ve had better steaks at Longhorn). My Old Fashioned was not good-I don’t think there was any syrup or bitters, it tasted like a bourbon on the rocks with a muddled cherry & orange slice. Dessert was average.
Overall, very nice appearance, great service, but they need to step up their food & drink game to charge these prices.
