This restaurant just outside of the downtown area provided a great dining experience for us in Mystic.
Our waitress was phenomenal and made the night for us. She was very attentive, offering to take photos and bringing a side of extra sauce for my dish when she thought it might have needed a little more than what was served.
The old restored building was quaint and charming, the food was great, the view of the harbor from our table was perfect, and the parking was easy.
The bread service (for a small charge) was served with a head of warm roasted garlic. I tried their famous roasted cod, a dish I hadn’t had before. I really enjoyed it and the sauce was deliciously rich. The clam chowder was perfect and my husband enjoyed his scallops dish.

We were recommended to come here from our boat captain and thank goodness we did! The atmosphere is cozy and slightly chaotic in the best way. John, our server, was the type of server every restaurant wants. He handled every table with grace despite being very busy. He took the time to give us recommendations and they were great recommendations. We had the espresso martini with coconut tequila and trust me, get it. The oysters were fresh and delicious, the scallops melted in your mouth. 10/10 recommend this restaurant and John!

We were in Mystic for the Christmas boat parade and I had made reservations for the first evening here. Due to a snow storm we traveled through we were not going to make our reservation. I called and they were able to accommodate us later. Dinner was so great and there were a couple things on the menu that I wanted to try so we went back for lunch and dinner the next day. The food was was wonderful. The staff, receptionist and wait staff were equally wonderful. I can’t say enough how amazing this place is. If you are ever in Mystic. Check it out. You won’t be sorry.

A solid spot in Mystic with a lovely staff. Gigi and our waitress, Sarah, were excellent! The food was good, but I will pass on the mandarin almond salad. The seafood is wild-caught, which is a rarity nowadays, so it was nice, and we will definitely be back for that!

This is a hidden gem. The main room dinner service does not start until 5pm. We ate in the Tavern which opens earlier. The waiter John was awesome. Very attentive and got everything right.
We tried the Nachos, Roasted Garlic and butter bread, Grilled Tuna Steak Sandwich, Salad with Blackened Salmon, a Burger and the Falafel Wrap. All were great.
Very cool vibe in the Tavern. It’s like stepping back in time.

I will tell you, right on the marina and having so much history, this restaurant does not disappoint. We decided on sandwiches and nachos for an appetizer. The burger was amazing, with aged cheddar, bacon crumbles, and cooked to perfection. The Ruben was packed with deliciousness and cooked perfectly. The nachos with the chili on top were some of the best I have ever had. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was quaint and inviting.

Lobster roll was delicious!! We went for dinner around 5 pm so we were one of the only few tables which was nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very classy and quiet.

This is such a gem of a restaurant! Slightly hidden from all the other restaurants that line the downtown area, but it is certainly not to be missed!
Great historic place to eat – excellent food, great atmosphere, and great waitstaff.
The menu includes the pub items and a nice selection of sandwiches, salads, burgers and wonderful entrees to choose from.
The calamari and onion soup were delicious as were the fish and chips, the fish had a perfect crispy shell and moist in the inside. The DPI fries are a must eat.
This place also has a lot of history and has been family run and operated for years! This is our new favorite place in Mystic! A must try when you’re in the area.

5 stars because the drinks were made extremely well and tasted great and the atmosphere was clean and seemingly well kept. However upon entering my group and I were ID’d (extremely normal we are all around 22) after being ID’d the waitress who was an older woman named Geradine (I believe) felt the need to continuously remark on how we looked 12. Since I had another form of identification on me- I offered it to her and told her that i genuinely have no issue with her double checking. I only did this because she made it into a big deal and I also would be uncomfortable if I thought a bunch of 12 year olds walked into a bar atmosphere. After that as we were waiting for our drinks she then was talking about how we all looked 12 to customers and other patrons. At this point I was fed up and asked her again if she would like another ID and tried to pay so we could just go somewhere else (it turned out my friend had already paid). The most frustrating part however was right before we left when she was having a conversation about false military IDs with a customer and they were making jokes about it. At this point I was so frustrated I asked her if she would like to see photos of me in my service uniform as I do not take faking to be in the military or the idea of forging a military ID to be funny at all. She then acted like she was not part of it and was trying her best to deflect. All we wanted to do was enjoy our time at what seems to be a fun restaurant/bar with a unique atmosphere. I am still giving this business five stars because from the look of the other patrons as well as the drink service we received I don’t think this was a usual behavior from this waitress nor business. However it is important to note the extreme show of unprofessional and continued conversation from a waitress in order to make fun of or participate in jokes about myself and my others friends potentially faking our service in the military.

This place is amazing. These scallops were the best I ever ate. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the staff so friendly. We’ve also heard it may be haunted! How cool is that. You can come for the food and spirits. 🙂
