First time in 30 years I’ve been disappointed by hulas. My noodles were pale and simultaneously burnt in spots. It tastes like butter noodles and freezer burnt meat. I’ve never left my leftovers let alone a full bowl. I waited in line for over a hour, just to be dissapointed. I know it’s a very busy night but I’ve seen it busier and go twice as fast. Now I have to get dinner somewhere else and I’m out $64 not including tip for two people. I think the grill has been turned down so they can pay only one cook at a time, which makes the food more boiled than fried, killing the flavor and caramelization. Truly deeply disappointed please do better hulas, you are a Chico institution, but I wouldn’t pay $10 for what I got tonight.

Excited I went because I had a spot like this in my county years ago and it shut down because the mall area is was in was changing. It was excited as it was literally the same concept. The buffet line had all the frozen meats and fresh veggies that you pile in a bowl, you add sauces and then at the end of the line they cook it over a huge round hot plate. They cook it for about 5min and then hand it back to you. There’s no wayThere’s no way it seems.$24 for pretty much all you can eat. Great location for an fun experience.

The line for food was very long. The food was good, lots of choices for meat, no sea food. There was peanuts. A lot of vegetables. The sauces were good too. The refilled things quick and if there wasn’t enough you could ask for more. Lots of people used a little bowl to squish down meat and make more room but at the cook part if it misses the bowl it’s juts trashed so be careful. The cooks were fast but made sure everything was coock through. Again the just add everyone ls bowl to the grill, they did say they would clean the grill if requested. Everyone there was very nice and would answer questions. Ask for help on sauces be heavy with the sauce it cooks out fast.

Amazing food for a reasonable price!! Even if it looks crowded, don’t worry, you won’t wait for long before you’re in line and preparing your bowl. They have a great variety of meat and an incredible selection of vegetables and toppings, to include tofu. You can be extra creative at the end of the line with the sauces; don’t be shy – be bold! The chefs are the artists with their special cooking skills. Once you have your bowl and sit down at your table, the staff takes care of your drinks and everything else you may need/want. Great for small or large groups!

One of my favorite spots!
Generally safe for dairy allergies. There’s a heavy presence of soy and gluten. All food is grilled on two communal grills, so cross contamination will occur.
Amazing price, amazing taste, amazing service. The only thing I dislike is the dining area feels a little bit unclean.

I am gluten-free (not celiac) and was absolutely blown away by their team! When we first came in, we asked if they had gluten-free options. The hostess told us she would have the manager come to answer our questions as she wanted to make sure we had the most accurate information. The manager Logan came over to us a few minutes later. He was able to tell us what options were safe and was so very kind and accommodating. But he didn’t stop there… at every step along the way of filling out bowls he kept checking in and making sure I didn’t have any questions and he personally walked me through the sauces so I knew what I could add without issue. The most amazing part of the experience was when we got to the grills, the team was ready for us. The manager had given them advance notice we were in the line, and they proceeded to fresh clean the grills, the tongs, and their hands to make sure the grill had a reduction in gluten on it. The meal itself was tasty, and having a variety of fresh veggies and meat options in a very well managed and clean restaurant made the experience top notch. The wait staff were attentive, bringing fresh rice and lots of drink refills as needed. And I observed a team that was very engaged with the customers and worked hard to keep everything clean and organized. The fact that you have an option to do all you can eat or just one bowl for a reasonable price is also great. For someone who struggles to find delicious gluten-free options, this place was amazing, but the experience is what I can’t get enough of. I recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great radiant experience and if you have dietary needs they are the place to go!

!! So freaking good! If I could add anything it would be shrimp and cheese. Cheese obviously at the end when it comes off the grill. But even without these 2 things it is so unique and wonderful that it does matter at all if they add anything to be honest. 1,000,000,000. ⭐s

Had not came here in a few years and it was just as I remembered. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more.

Tasty poke bowls that they mix to your order. They also have Hawaiian bbq. Very fresh choices of ingredients
and sauces. It’s just a counter with a few tables inside and outside in a common walkway.

This is an all you can eat hibachi style restaurant. You pick meat, noodles , vegetables and sauces to put in a bowl. Proceed to the cooking area. You are allowed to take leftovers home for your first trip only. While you are waiting for your food to cook, egg rolls and won tons magically appear at your table. All of the employees are very friendly and helpful.
