The negative reviews seem to be related to the prices.
Yes, they are high. Don’t come here if you don’t plan on spending more than you are used to for similar products.
To be fair – I am nowhere near a coinnoisseur. But I got some chocolate as a gift and it was a great experience. The product is good.
The shop has bank-hours so check if you’re picking something up after work. It’s a nice place. I’ll go again.
In defense of their prices – they are posted clear and plain for all to see. But my experience was good.

For all special occasions my dad gets us some variety of chocolates and for my birthday this week he got me a box of cream and jelly filled chocolate and they were amazing! I just wanted to come here and say, if you’re looking for the perfect treat for someone (or for yourself) give this store a try!

I went yesterday with my son and daughter and it was nice! We purchased 3 drinks for 14 bucks. Although we didn’t try the chocolate, we look forward to visiting again. The lady was friendly although no one was in the front yo greet us when we first walked in.

Every Christmas my mom fills our stockings with Shenandoah chocolates and this year I get to share with my baby. The chocolate itself is so good but it’s the buttery filling that sets these chocolates apart from the rest. My other favorites are the chocolate covered pretzels but many of my siblings ask for the chocolate covered potato chips. Hands down the best fine chocolates and right in Winchester VA!

Finally writing a review for this place. My wife and I went here for Valentine’s Day this year. The food was ….good but not great. The atmosphere was nice. The service….not good. Alway’s bothers me when you go into a restaurant, get seated and the guests that were seated after you get served before you. We didn’t order anything extraordinary, just what they had on their Valentines Day menu like everyone else there. Also, we really didn’t feel welcome. Someone who seemed like the owner kept walking around to the tables and speaking friendly to several of the other guests but avoided our table. I guess a guy in a blazer and tie with his wife can be off-putting(??). I get that one would like to converse with known customers or friends but if you ever want to grow and keep vigorous your business, shouldn’t you treat ALL of your customers like you want them to have a great experience so they come back?
Their chocolate shop is good, though. A bit pricey but good.
Long story, short I’m not in a hurry to go back. For what we payed for the meal, the food received and then getting the cold shoulder, it really wasn’t a good experience.

Equal to or greater than our yearly visits to European favorite chocolate shops. The Assistant Chocolatier was very helpful and efficient on waiting on us. We are rationing out our purchases, but initial bites were sinfully delicious. Understand that the majority of chocolate in shop is prepared on premises. Delicious. Well done!

Very friendly, and she had a massive selection of chocolates, of which I purchased several. All but one made it home but that was only with some serious will power and desire to share with my hubby. Beautiful cafe in a nice location. I had the Winchester Grilled Chicken salad for lunch. Perfect in every way! Chocolate Balsamic dressing was fantastic. Every ingredient in the salad was fresh and the flavors were well-balanced. This is my new favorite lunch spot in Winchester.
