A delightful surprise from start to finish. I visited Kauffman’s for the first time and left genuinely impressed. I had the large chicken platter. The prices are reasonable. We played mini golf after early dinner and then went back for ice cream. It got busy. Best time was Sunday around 3pm.

Not exactly sure what I expected but found this place much better. Beautiful drive on rural roads leading to a complex that is well maintained and very nice. When entering it took us a bit to figure out the method to dine in…past an inside “order to go” counter, through a pair of doors, turn left and you are in a cafeteria line! Grab some silverware, tray and napkins – read the menu mounted above and behind the counter and order when asked. Pay at the register (just like in school) and have a seat…there are plenty.
Each plater comes with a side and a salad bar trip. The salad bar is small but there are many choices and its tidy and clean.
The Chicken is better than the fundraiser held all around the area as I expected.
The dinning area is large and well maintained.
Definitely worth a visit.

Staff is very friendly except the cashier was not as friendly. Everything was clean. Gave it a 4 star only because for a BBQ restaurant I would expect more BBQ. Chicken is one of the main things on their menu and it is not BBQ chicken. Tasted like chicken I make at home. So it was disappointing. The portion you get is worth the money.
They have mini golf here that is inexpensive. Ice cream here looks amazing and there was a line for the icecream.
I wouldnt come back for the dine in, but would come back to try the ice cream.

The prices are so low and the food is delicious. Every time we come here, each member of the family gets a half of a chicken with potato filling, which costs $12. We’ve been coming here my entire life and I’ve never had a bad meal. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

It is a place that provides excellent chicken barbeque served cafeteria style. They have a very adequate salad bar that is included with platters. Very clean facility and friendly staff. Great for families. They also have mini golf in summer along with an ice cream shop. Plenty of parking.

Coming here is always a treat! We arrived a little after 4 on a Wednesday, and even though the place was already busy, we didn’t have to wait in line.
We ordered a large chicken and filling with gravy and a chicken sandwich platter with filling—both came with salads. The salad bar was excellent, fully stocked with fresh vegetables, prepared salads, and rolls. Our entrées arrived hot, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
The only thing missing was dessert—but only because we were too full to enjoy it this time!
As always, this visit didn’t disappoint. We’ll definitely be back soon.

onestly, Kauffman’s restaurant chicken blows the fundraising trailer chicken out of the water. If you’ve had both, you know exactly what I mean. The restaurant chicken is always juicy, has actual flavor, and tastes like it was cooked by someone who knows what they’re doing. You sit down, take one bite, and you’re like, yep, this is the good stuff.
The trailer chicken… it’s fine, but it’s just not the same. Half the time it’s a little dry, the seasoning isn’t as strong, and it feels more like they’re rushing to crank out a bunch of meals. It works for a quick fundraiser meal, but it doesn’t have that real Kauffman’s taste.
If I’m choosing, it’s the restaurant every time. Once you’ve had the chicken straight from Kauffman’s kitchen, the trailer version just doesn’t cut it
