And the food lives up to the hype! We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was bursting with flavor, from the fresh seafood to the hearty surf and turf. Our servers were fantastic, too—friendly, thorough, and happy to cater to all our requests. The fantastic menu has options for everyone, including kids and people with specific dietary needs. With convenient parking right off the street and so much to do within walking distance, this is a spot you don’t want to miss. Come for the food, stay for the unforgettable views and atmosphere.
Second of all… who is this chef?
We are foodies from Chicago. We recently moved to the area and were in fear of not finding a decent restaurant, there being limited options here. It was our anniversary and we thought of Fitzgeralds but they was too limited in their menu and strict with reservations. We searched and saw Joey’s. The varied menu selection helped us make a choice to go here. It’s a cute little spot with friendly staff and an Excellent chef. Hubby had a burger and I had the crab cakes. All very delicious and very much to our surprise. We will frequent this place whenever the occasion calls for it. But ONLY and ONLY if the same chef is still around. Now don’t go getting ideas of going on any cooking shows to be discovered please you are needed here!
Thank you for a great dining experience. See you soon.
We started with fried mushrooms which were nicely battered and seemed to be done in house. They did not give store bought. A couple of our meals also came with salads that were quite tasty also and a good size! That where all the good really ends. Half rack of ribs came right off the bone but they were cold, over sauced and the sauce was just cold and dumped on. Side potatoes and corn bread was also cold. Chicken tenders look like they were purchased at Gordon’s and while they were crispy didn’t have any flavor. Onion rings are battered in same as mushrooms and were crispy also buy very thick. Fried chicken is also battered in same batter as mushrooms and onion rings and it’s just not all that great.
