As a table we ordered the Beef Mongolian, the Imperial Chicken, the Sesame Chicken, the Lo Mein, and the Crab Rangoons.
The Beef Mongolian lacked flavor and tasted very flat. Both the Imperial Chicken and the Sesame Chicken were dry and tough. Even though the sauces were different, once we tasted them side by side they were nearly identical. The most enjoyable item ended up being the Crab Rangoons. Even those were imbalanced because the cream cheese was much heavier than the crab, which was almost nonexistent.
Customer service was friendly and I would rate it a 6 out of 10 based on interactions and attitude. The timing of the service needs improvement. The appetizer was served with the meals. The check was dropped immediately as dessert was being served, which removed the chance to enjoy the moment. It felt rushed rather than considerate.
Small gestures also matter. If you decide to pour a cocktail from a metal shaker tin at the table in an attempt to create a nice presentation, then it would improve the experience to leave the remaining shaker at the table. Not for extra alcohol, but simply to complete the presentation and enhance the feeling of hospitality.
Bathroom cleanliness was a 7 out of 10. The restroom was somewhat clean but very difficult to locate, almost like navigating an open maze.
Valet service was the strongest part of the night and I would rate it a 9 out of 10 for efficiency and urgency. Text system.
Overall, past visits were better. This visit felt underwhelming and disappointing in food quality and the timing of service. We share this review in hopes to encourage Pekin Pavilion, in our opinion, to refocus on delivering the flavorful and reliable dining experiences their locals are accustomed to having.

Peking Pavilion is an exceptional dining experience that truly stands out in the realm of Chinese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the elegant and modern decor sets a sophisticated ambiance, perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
The menu is diverse and well-curated, offering a delightful blend of traditional dishes and contemporary interpretations. Each dish is meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients, resulting in vibrant flavors and visually appealing presentations. Standout items include the Peking Duck, which is expertly roasted to perfection with crispy skin and tender meat, and the General Tso’s Chicken, which balances sweetness and spice beautifully.
Service at Peking Pavilion is attentive and professional. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and make excellent recommendations, ensuring that each guest’s dining preferences are met with care and precision.
Overall, Peking Pavilion offers a superb dining experience that combines quality food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Chinese cuisine.
Most of the dishes we ordered leaned heavily toward fried, greasy, and overly sweet. We tried the Grand Marnier Prawns, Sesame Chicken, and Mu Shu Chicken, and found them all fairly one-note and unmemorable. Perhaps this is simply the style of Cantonese cuisine they’re known for, or maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but nothing really stood out or made us want to return.
That said, it’s easy to see why locals enjoy the place: generous portions, polished service, and a comfortable, familiar feel. Still, if you’re looking for lighter, more balanced flavors or something a bit more refined, this may not be your spot.
Given the food and the fact that they don’t accept reservations for parties of five or fewer, this was a one-and-done for us. A pleasant experience from a service standpoint…but not a meal we’d seek out again.
I definitely would definitely go here again. And also make a reservation in advance!
