The food is alright but the service is inconsistent. One of the first times I went I ordered a California burrito (carne asada, French fries, cheese, and sour cream) and asked if they could add guacamole to the burrito. They told me they could. I got the burrito from the drive thru and the burrito was awesome. The fries were nice and crispy, the meat was seasoned and cooked well, and they included the guacamole.

I went back twice over the next two weeks. Asked for the same thing both times. Both times I was told, “yeah we can add guacamole.” Both times I got the burrito and it did not come with guacamole.

The burrito is just not as good without guacamole and it’s sooo frustrating to be expecting guacamole and not getting it. If they can’t put guacamole in it, just tell me no.

The nachos are pretty good too.

I love me some Pepe’s! But this location isn’t it. I prefer the one in Alhambra, the best location. But I’ve been here many times over the years. The last time at this location was over a year ago. But today, the restaurant is dirty, and the food is blah. I ate half, and I was so hungry after a long drive, so I was looking forward to my bean and cheese burrito with beef taquitos on the side with guacamole and their green salsa. But everything tasted off, everything The taquitos were crunchy, but the meat inside was weird, weird look and taste. The beans were ok but needed more flavor. The salsa watered down, and just not it. The staff was nice but wouldn’t come back until they made some improvements.

I got food poisoning from this place. I definitely would not recommend coming here. I should’ve trusted my instincts—the place looked dirty, and when I pulled up, all the employees were outside. That should’ve been a sign. I won’t be returning.

Extremely disappointed. My husband would swear this place was good and the day I happen to want to try it. It was so bad I ordered chilaquiles and literally had 4-5 small chips in there . Both my rice and beans were drenched in water guacamole. I got some fries and tasted like pure old oil. The workers definitely looked as if we were a bother. Definitely never going back!!!

Service is hit and Miss, but food is always pretty food. Go to’s are the beef hard taco and taquitos. Prices are high, but guac is amazing and I so get full on one of each. Im a pretty big guy, so that says a lot. Service in the drive thru today was awesome. Friendly and fast. Even gave me the number of hot sauces I wanted without asking for extra $$$.

They did go back to the larger salsa cups, so I technically ordered too many for my order but again, not a word. Will go back for my staples!

Pro tip: try the mini taquitos if you want to share or save some for later. Also ask for the guac on the side. I forgot and now have to eat them all so they won’t go soggy 🙂

Back for some taquitos and a taco and they did not disappoint. Not sure if I just lucked out or they are back to highlighting their guacamole, but it was excellent today and there was plenty of it. Hard taco had a ton of cheese and even had enough guac from taquitos to spread on the taco. Loved every bite. Yummy!

Chain restaurants dishing out common Mexican dishes like burritos and tacos. The food is ok and portions are rather small. The cleanliness is the place is fair and it looks like they can retouch the interior of this particular store. One thing I like about it is it’s quiet during my visit and the good came out pretty quick.

5/12/21: Ordered chili cheese fries didn’t get that but these were still ok! But they did get the order wrong! They have pork(3 small chunks to be exact smh) tomatoes and cheese!

I think I’ll stick to Tams for chili cheese fries

The chili Verde burrito is good i recommend it

They would of got 5 stars but I hate when places don’t repeat/confirm your order and still get it wrong!

Omg! I had a great experience at the one in temple city off of rosemead. So I didn’t think twice to stop at this one. I wad looking for something good for my children to eat. I ordered 2 enchiladas (one with cheese only and one with chicken). They are drowned in a mole like sauce that is so unbearably salty, it’s hard to eat. Then you can’t even tell the difference between the cheese and the chicken enchilada. It’s absolutely disgusting. I will never go to a pepes again! They need to fire their chef!
