So, I’m not originally from this area. I’m from way down in the deep South. Never heard of a Big Boy in all my life. I noticed they’re always busy around lunch time though, so I figured I’d give them a shot. I don’t get the hype, lol. The fries are very bland and tough. I don’t think I’ve ever had chewy french fries before this place. Went with a friend and we had mozzarella sticks to share. They were the best thing, but the marinara sauce tasted kind of sour, so we spat that out and tossed the rest. The burger was very, very mid. I asked for them to remove the middle bun because that’s just too much bread, but after unwrapping it, you would have thought they smashed their fist down into it – it was flat in the center and the condiments were all running down the sides. The taste is kind of like a worse Burger King. Anyway, yeah. Probably won’t be back. Could have been just a bad day for them, but this was not at all worth the calories and money.

Soent a day in Bismark and local reviews stated Big Boy is a place you have to visit. I knew I knew that big boy statue from somewhere and was confirmed looking at other reviews. As a pretty big boy myself I definitely should have ordered more food. The pizza burger was Interesting. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Cheeseburger was good but could have ate 3 more of them. Best thing was the milkshake purple cow I think it wa. Very delicious! Really nice shaded area to sit and eat it being drive through only it was enjoyable eating outside. Service was quick and was through the line with a breeze. Worth a try if in the area.

Food isn’t as good as it use to be. Prices have gotten way out of control. I use to eat there a lot and now I never go there. Been disappointed the last few times. For the price I can buy steaks or go to a good sit down restaurant. Amazed they are still in business. I get pissed every time I see their commercials. So misleading and makes it sound like the prices are a deal. NOT

The burgers aren’t very good. Whatever brand of burger patties they use taste like processed filler. The chicken is OK nothing special. They do serve the small cut french fries which I really do like and their onion rings are good. Food is always hot but very average.

Drive up was fast and wait was not long. Pizza burgers flying style were hot and delicious. The brown cow was cold and also amazing. I always recommend THIS Big Boy to everyone even out of state. There is Not an inside dining area. Be prepared to eat in your car or at the benches provided. Feel free to feed the birds

If you know, you know.
Every time I’m in Bismarck, I have to stop at Big Boy—specifically for the Flying Style Pizza Burger and a Hot ‘n Tot. It’s not a want, it’s a need. Add fries with gravy to the mix, and you’ve officially peaked in life.

This isn’t fast food. This is Midwest soul food, the kind that makes you close your eyes and hum while you chew.

Now here’s the deal…
Can y’all please open one in Florida? I’m not even kidding. I shouldn’t have to fly to North Dakota just to satisfy this very specific craving. Bismarck’s got it made with this place—don’t keep it to yourselves.

10/10. Worth the miles. But seriously. Florida. Make it happen.

This is a drivethru with some parking and outdoor picnic benches at the end. They are very fast. We didn’t enjoy the burgers. The fries and onion rings were okay. Did enjoy the coke freeze on the hot day.

Big Boy was made famous, in my opinion, from Austin Powers. It is what attracted me to stop. It was fun to do it, but it was pretty humorous. Haha! The flying style pizza burger?? Haha, just look at that hot mess!! Oh my comical! Crust was rubbery and rock hard, but I did it! Check that off the list. And the Big boy original? Hehe same. It was messy. But I like condiments so all the sauce was good for a soggy burger experience. Dining is outdoors in a picinic area. let me tell ya, the birds become your friends really quick. Have you ever felt like someone was watching you??? Hahaha. I did try the purple cow a small was just fine. Thirteen bucks and worth the laugh and the experience. Thanks! Oh and notice, there is a 9’6″ clearance to go through the drive through. Enjoy!

Combo meals come with gravy, fries, and a drink. Flying style means you get your sandwich between two pieces of toasted bread (instead of a bun). I ordered the pizza burger combo. I thought the it would be bigger… if you are hungry definitely get two patties. The side of fries is bigger than single patty burger

Delicious! I ordered ahead and got a coney dog with mustard, onions, and pickles. I like salty fries but these were a little too salty for me so having a cup of gravy to dunk them in helped quite a bit. Overall, I would go back for a coney.
