I don’t get to write positive reviews for fast food very often, but this McDonald’s location was amazing. We’re on a long road trip with a toddler, and the service from the moment we walked in was professional and compassionate, our food was out incredibly quickly, and the restaurant was was in tip-top clean shape. Thank you Lacy for your exceptional customer service and kindness!

Went to this location 3 times over my weekend.
1st time I drive thru. Go to the first window to pay and nobody is there. I am patiently waiting to pay my bill. Nobody shows up until there is no car and the second window. So I pull up they proceed to hand me food and I give them my card. An employee goes of have you not paid I say no. Nobody was at the window. Then a manager comes over and very rudely tells me that you have to pay at the 1st window, I’m 31 years old, fat and addicted to this slop you call food sweetheart I know how a drive thru works.
2nd trip
Order my food tell me to go to the second window to pay. This is just a call back to the manager who told me that you always pay at the first window.
3rd trip. I’m gearing up to leave Helena and say gosh I’d really love a bagel sandwich. Gosh that sounds good. I go to McDonald’s it’s getting busy. Mind you they have 2 drive thrus but only one lane is open for some reason. So a line is literally going into a weird one way road that for some reason the town thinks is the greatest thing ever invented. I order my food bagel sandwich meal medium coffee and 2 sausage McMuffins. I pay at the first window things go great. Get to the pick up window.
Get handed a small coffee which is no problem mistakes happen I’m not worried no reason to complain about that. A few moments later same kid pops out and gives me a bag only has 2 items I can see from the wrapper it’s got the monopoly pieces on it. And a hash brown I assume it’s the bagel I have oh so been waiting for days one might say. I assume that my McMuffins are coming even though it’s odd that they weren’t in the same bag. The kid who handed me the bag is inside awkwardly and anxiously looking at me. 3 minutes go buy a manager I presume opens the window and says are we still waiting on something sir. I say yes 2 sausage McMuffins. He says great he rushes back a minute or so later I get the 2 other sausage McMuffins. I eat them first they are fine I can tell it was rushed no melted cheese or anything I’m not mad because I’m waiting for the bagel sandwich. ……
I see the monopoly piece I peel it off I’m not a winner. I’m not even mad because I know I’m about to win the ultimate prize of a bagel sandwich. That I have long awaited years for its return. Since I loved it so much from my childhood. I open the wrapper and what is it!!!? In the bagel wrapper!? A sausage and cheese McMuffin. Not even melted cheese.
I don’t write reviews often but people need to be warned about this place. If you are in Helena go ANYWHERE else but here.

Service lacking for every transaction if you order food due to the fact they want to keep drive thru times down. Instructed to pull in to “yellow “ 1/24/26 at 4pm. Get home and have the wrong order. Call them and they will not correct the order . So I’m out $12.

Order quarter pounder, no cheese, no pickle, and lettuce, tomato and mayo. When I get home, quarter pounder with cheese, no ketchup and Xtra pickle, no lettuce, no tomato, no mayo . I even paid extra for that. Nice frickin job night crew at Prospect Ave location 11/22/25 at 8:07 pm. I would refer to my receipt, but of course the self checkout kiosk is out of paper.

Was having lunch with my granddaughter when a young man with two dogs entered the restaurant. Weren’t service animals. Employee from behind the counter came out and asked to pet the dogs. After petting the dogs she returned behind the counter and started serving food again without washing her hands. Only service animals should be allowed in the store.

They always forget sauces so hope you like your nuggies dry also ingredients look likely are thrown in a box then shaken up then tossed in the back of a pickup for a time trial for the fastest time around the block then served to you.. 2/10 don’t recommend
