Great gourmet pizza restaurant with a fun , interesting, shroom loving hippy ascetic.
Their pizzas are delicious and there’s many types to choose from or build your own. They let you mix and match type sonif you have four people like we did you can have four selections as a half each. Then just sample it all.
Service was friendly and rather fun.
Highly recommend.

How do you justify charging $15 for the large salad and it doesn’t fill up half of the carry out container that should be for a side salad? We ordered 2 x pizzas and 2 x entree salads for delivery that came out to $65. We did not receive either of the pizzas. This could have been an error by door dash but the $15 salads came in a container that would be appropriate for a side salad. The Greek salad was at least filling the container. The Caesar salad looked like it was scraped off of someone’s plate that did not finish their salad.

Absolutely loved our experience at Mellow Mushroom. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious, the bartender was fantastic, and the service truly stood out. (1/21 lunch).
What made it extra special was that it was my puppy’s birthday — and they went above and beyond by bringing her out some birthday chicken . Having a (feels like indoors) heated patio space to dine with a dog was top notch. I thought I was stuck with fast food or a cold outdoor patio as we traveled through- but got this amazing place.
Living in the DMV and being from Texas, it’s been honestly hard to find places that feel genuinely friendly here, but this spot was such a breath of fresh air. Warm, welcoming, and just an all-around great vibe. We will 100% be back and can’t recommend it enough.

We’re usually very happy with the pizza here, but the last two House Specials we ordered this past week were below average. Both fell apart, seemed light on dough, and didn’t feel fully cooked.

This isn’t cheap pizza. But it is great tasting pizza. They have odd combinations of ingredients. Though those ingredients go great together.

I was very impressed when the pizza oven stopped working right in the middle of them being super busy and they didn’t panic. It took about 20 minutes to get it back up and running and without them skipping a beat. Great job guys! You also deserve 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Consistently a great place for dinner or quick bite. Great draft beer selection for $5 a pint during Happy Hour! Excellent quality pizza like none other in town. Our server Bella was excellent and anticipated our every need! We’ve always had great service here even when the dining room is super busy! Highly recommended!

Nic was fantastic! From the moment we walked in the door to the end of the meal he was wonderful. We got seated and he was prompt with getting drinks and apps in, the food was accurate and quick, he even sang happy birthday with us to our b’day girl! He always had a smile on his face and made sure we had everything we needed.
And of course the pizza was top notch. Fxbg is definitely our favorite mellow mushroom location.

Lisa, our server, was an absolute pleasure. She was very attentive and kind. The food was delicious and meticulously made (I have food allergies and they were sure there was no cross contamination). We met the owner as well and just wow Mr. James was phenomenal with all the guest, hands on (but in the best way; not in the way just helping where he could). All in all a great spot to grab some great pizza and drinks. And WINGS! My goodness the wings are a cut above the rest.

Nick at the bar in Frericksburg was great! Friendly and helpful to us first timers! I needed vegetarian option so went with Veggie Calzone and hubby enjoyed the Smash Burger! Food was great and we enjoyed our time there!
