Nobu Newport Beach, located in the luxurious Lido Marina Village, will serve Nobu Matsuhisa’s world-renowned signature cuisine such as Tiradito, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and Black Cod Miso with incredible views of the Newport Harbor. Designed by Studio PCH, Nobu Newport Beach has been crafted with their signature aesthetic of comfort and refined details in mind, to create a simple and elegant atmosphere. Guests will be able to enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining in the two-story space and will have access to the bar & lounge.

Nobu has a very high reputation to uphold, and yet it still managed to exceed all expectations. The dishes were delicious, creative, and a marvel to look at. All of the fish was perfectly fresh, and the sauces and garnishes paired perfectly with their flavors. The cooked dishes (especially the wagyu wontons, black miso cod) were insanely tender and flavorful, a welcome addition to the roll options that were also fantastic. All of the sides were pleasantly surprising, making unique textures and flavors out of unexpected vegetables, especially the artichoke salad. With a very high standard for service, it is a dining experience that is worth the excursion to celebrate truly fine dining.

Phenomenal. Unreal. Everything I expected. Everything was fresh, delicious and the views and staff really added to the experience. The spicy tuna, unagi and the wagyu tacos were 10/10. This was a place I had wanted to go to for years and it was worth the wait. Thank you for a great experience.

Both the food and service were good. Our server did mess up our orders but was able to clear it up once we mentioned it. The music was super loud making it hard to hear conversation at the dinner table. Would maybe go again.

New favs 10/10: Nobu Caesar salad (request extra walnuts), baked crab sushi roll- cut (not “hand” like a burrito).
9/10 crispy rice w spicy tuna
7/10 cauliflower & Brussel sprouts, strong flavor. Share them.
3/10 *won’t order again: thin, cold cut fish app with crispy sliced mushrooms on top. Get yellowtail jalapeño instead.

We came to Nobu Newport Beach for a Friday night date and it did not disappoint. A generous gift card from one of our amazing clients gave us the perfect excuse to come back, and we’re so glad we did.
We walked up right at 5 PM with no reservation and were seated immediately. It was a beautiful day and we got a cozy table inside with an incredible view of the harbor through the window. The layout is really open and airy, with plenty of space between tables. Definitely not one of those spots where you feel crammed in. The vibe was relaxed but still had energy, thanks to a DJ spinning upbeat tunes that set a fun tone for the night.
Service was super friendly and attentive from the moment we sat down. We ordered a variety of dishes (photos incoming) and everything we tried was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. We sipped on a couple cocktails, laughed a lot, and really just soaked in the whole experience. It felt elevated but not pretentious, which is hard to pull off.
That said, if you’re planning to come here, expect to pay a premium. The sushi is delicious and the presentation is a solid 10 out of 10, but you’re definitely paying for more than just the food. You’re paying for the real estate, the ambience, the harbor views, and the overall Nobu experience. It’s worth it for a special night, but definitely something to be aware of.
Parking was easy in the nearby structure. Nobu validated for one hour, but we ended up staying for two. Totally worth the extra few bucks. If you’re heading there during peak hours, it’s worth planning ahead for that.
All in all, it was a chill, delicious, and memorable night. Perfect for a special occasion or a spontaneous treat yourself kind of evening. We’ll definitely be back.

Nobu Newport Beach is one of my go-to spots when I want a flawless dinner with a view. The setting is stunning—overlooking the water, with candlelight and city lights reflecting on the bay. It’s romantic, but also relaxed.
I usually order the California Roll, Rock Shrimp Tempura, and Lobster—they’re always spot-on. The flavors are fresh, perfectly balanced, and plated beautifully.
The cocktails here are also amazing. I had one of the best Espresso Martinis I’ve ever tried, and their spicy margarita was exactly what I needed with the lobster.
