Absolutely appalled at the prices. regardless of quality. The burgers tasted closer to something you’d get at a fast-food place. The burgers were small and only beef, with no chicken options. (I’m not sure if that’s just a Five Guys thing) I live in New Zealand, and the cost of my meal at 5 Guys was 17 pounds. ($40 NZD!!!!) I ordered a burger, fries, and a soft drink (a basic burger combo from any fast-food or burger restaurant) and cannot believe how much it cost.

For reference, in NZ (and many other countries, including the UK), for this amount of food at McDonald’s, we pay around $15-16 NZD. (roughly 6 pounds)

Even top-quality burger restaurants in NZ, which serve amazing burgers, charge $23 NZD for this combo, which is only $10. And the quality of the burgers is brilliant.

I understand high quality is a high price, but it just doesn’t make sense for it to be this expensive.

Great burgers, staff really helpful and good service. Pricey for a burger and chips.

5 Guys never a disappointment! Great shakes, best burgers and a huge load of free toppings for the burgers.

Fresh prepared, lovely fries (with Cajun) and never seen staff that is so friendly!

Sadly I have to complain. I fully appreciate this is a busy time but the food my daughter and I had was terrible. The hotdog and burger and chips were cold and quite tasteless.. For £26.30 this is unacceptable. I did not wish to embarrass my daughter so I didn’t complain at the time. It was a special trip to visit your Plymouth beach seeing as I drive down from Bristol..
The machine didn’t give out a receipt either and I’m unable to screenshot from my phone as its private information but my number yesterday was 117

Was my burger good . It was fine ….did I enjoy my BK yesterday more … I think I did . Music again a bit weird in back ground . Also having to hear staff shout out numbers all the time couldn’t they get a board or screen may be . It’s very echoing in hear tiles that bounce sound. It’s a bit like being at the aquarium. Video attached so you can appreciate noise and it’s not busy. Not terrible but yes over hyped and priced milkshake was ok . Not £5.50 worth.

Typical top notch Five Guys situated in the Barcode building with great views over the city to the sea…we are just after lunchtime on Boxing Day, it was very quiet and spotlessly clean, the service was as usual with this chain excellent.
We ordered the bacon double and a topped hot dog along with fries, chocolate and biscoff milkshakes which were all top quality and delicious.
As usual free peanuts on hand for everyone, not the cheapest meal out but great value for the quality of the food.

Very busy place but that is to be expected as it has only just opened. It’s a shame about the number of tables as there was always a handful of people waiting for tables and hovering over you when you were nearly at the end of your meal.

Free nuts was a nice surprise but this didn’t seem to be advertised.

Service was relatively fast considering how busy the place was.

Shame there is no option to bundle burgers with chips and that they are a seperate purchase.

I would visit again but not if I was in a rush.

Milkshake was very nice but cost more than I believe it was worth.

What can I say but avoid this place like the plague. £26 for burger fries and shake! This would be acceptable if it was decent. Served in a brown paper bag with the grease soaking through this was the worst burger I ever tasted. I went for a bacon cheeseburger, the bacon was in shreds and tasted of nothing but burnt, the patties themselves were stone cold and then the whole thing is served in a piece of foil that makes the bun disintegrate into a soggy mess, how on earth does this business thrive?? I myself will never eat at another five guys again and will actively tell people to avoid. Utter crap!

Walked in almost at closing time on a Sunday , the staff were so welcoming . Tried the veggies cheese sandwich and Cajun fries , and loved it ,
The veggies are grilled and not a patty , and I liked that , the were generous with the cheese and fries . They are known for the best beef burgers and milkshakes, so give it a try .
