This may have been the worst sandwich I’ve ever eaten. After reading so many positive reviews of this restaurant, I thought I’d give this place a try since I was in the area. I ordered an eggplant parm sandwich, and when I arrived home and took a bite, I was aghast. I thought it was a joke (and maybe still do). First, the eggplant parm was incredibly slimy. Eggplant clearly wasn’t breaded or fried, and in the slimy texture that is eggplant, it clashed very aggressively with the gooey texture of the cheese and sauce. Second, there was zero seasoning or flavor. I don’t even think they salted it and I say that as someone who is very sensitive to the taste of salt. Normally salt and pep are sufficient for most hot subs, but this was unbelievable. I had to add black pepper, salt, and oregano just to stomach the $17 I had spent on this order. Pros: the bread was good and better than I expected for simple white bread. Also the space has a no-frills, laid-back atmosphere which was very cozy. Unfortunately, I will not be back. Maybe their other sandwiches are better, but I absolutely can not recommend the eggplant parm. It was appalling.

I’ve bought sandwiches from Sandwich Hut since the 1978. Thete hsve been times when the sandwiches have not been as good as they normally are, but I never made one complaint. I bought a sandwich today and the bread is not fresh. I called there, just to let them know the bread was not fresh. The man who I spoke with remembers taking payment from me. When I told him the bread wasn’t fresh, he responded, “Well, I’m going to unequivably say your wrong, I know for a fact it’s fresh it came in fresh this morning.” I told him. I was sorry, the bread is not as fresh as it should be. He told me that I was calling him a liar. Those words NEVER exited my lips. I told him as a business owner myself, I would try to find a solution. I was just calling to say the bread wasn’t fresh. There was no need for the exchange he had with me. A note to him…we are not always correct and when there is a complaint, just take it and try to make it right. You asked twice, “What do you want, your money back? My answer is no, that wasn’t my intention, despite what you may have thought. That was my last trip to Sandwich Hut. You just lost a faithful, loyal customer because you think you can’t possibly be wrong.

The food truck that comes to our job is hands down one of the best! The customer service is always top-notch — friendly, welcoming, and professional every single time. The food is even better! The spicy sausage and Philly cheesesteak combo is my absolute favorite — packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and always hot and fresh.
On top of that, their service is super fast, which is perfect for a quick lunch break. You can tell they really care about quality and keeping customers happy. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great food and even better people!

Today was the perfect day to visit. The sandwiches were amazing as always. I love the portions and quality. I love the MTP, and so far I think it’s the best with pepperoni added to it. The prosciutto is really good on it too, but I think it overshadows the pesto a bit. My partner got the corn beef and it is incredible.
To be honest I wanted to leave a review because the customer service was great this afternoon. The cashier brought a really positive energy to the shop. I heard her remind the cook that my partner ordered extra onions added into a sandwich which I thought was really sweet. And she put a note on both of our kitchen tickets to make sure that our orders come out at the same time. More food shops need the same energy in Rhode Island.

This was a delicious sandwich/grinder. Very high quality meats, good toppings, good roll (would love the option for a hard roll, though), and, overall, really relaxed, nice atmosphere (including the service — thank you!). And, for these days, pretty reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back!

Great for quick sandwich run. They have a small, indoor dining area. Parking can be a bit tough. More parking and outdoor seating behind building, up the hill.

The sandwiches here are extra. There’s no other way to describe them, they’re delicious and overfilled with meat and the potato salad is excellent. I’ve eaten here a few times and never once have I had come away with not liking my sandwich.

This has been my go to spot for subs for over 10 years. I love the all-Italia as my go to, but you can’t go wrong with the entire menu. Fresh, high quality ingredients consistently over the years. Highly recommend for a great Italian style sandwich in Providence

Definitely worth a stop! The Alitalia sandwich was awesome with a unique flavor combo that is different from your average Italian sub. Nice staff, quick service. I’ll be back to try more…
