We had such an amazing dinner here. The atmosphere was lively, fun, and perfect for a celebration. The presentation of the desserts was incredible and honestly one of the highlights of the night. Everything looked beautiful and tasted just as good.

I also want to specifically mention our server, Abel. He was outstanding the entire evening. He was attentive without being intrusive, made great recommendations, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. His service truly made the experience memorable.

Overall, a great night with excellent food and even better service. I would definitely come back and highly recommend asking for Abel if you visit.

I’ve been coming to Da Vinci for over seven years, and it used to be my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Houston . Back then, when a kind older waiter with glasses used to serve us, the experience felt truly special — he was always so friendly and attentive with my family, and I genuinely miss that warm and personal service.

Lately, I’ve noticed that the staff changes frequently, and every time I visit there are new waiters. This constant rotation has made the restaurant lose a bit of that familiar and cozy feeling it once had. The food is still good, but the quality and overall warmth have slightly declined over time.

One recommendation I would make is to add a kids’ menu, since it would make the experience even more family-friendly. Also, because the restaurant is quite small and always full, it’s best to make a reservation in advance to ensure a table.

Even with these changes, I keep coming back, hoping they bring back that authentic Italian charm and hospitality that made Da Vinci feel like home. ✨

I recently ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The atmosphere, service and tomato sauce were excellent but the meatballs looked processed and mass-produced. The texture and taste were like factory -made frozen meatballs. For the price and reputation of this restaurant I expected fresh, house made meatballs. I called the restaurant the following evening and was told the owner would call me back but he/she still has not contacted me.

I have heard about this restaurant for a while but every time I called, they were booked. Yesterday (Wed) was my mom’s birthday so I decided to bring her here & OMG! This restaurant has now become my absolute favorite restaurant. It’s small (which is why is often booked) but the ambiance makes you feel like you’re in small town in Italy, the music adds to the ambience and the service is just superb! I wonder if our waiter was the owner because he was truly amazing (the other staff were great as well). Now let’s talk about the food. The flavor was fresh & unique. We loved it. The presentation was over the top and super cute! From the salt & pepper, to the plates/bowls, to the spoons & the coffee cup! ☕️ Just amazing! I will come here next time I’m having a bad day, a sad day, a happy day, a special celebration, an intimate meeting, date night, birthday or just anything I want to create a memorable occasion for. We loved it!

Da Vinci Ristorante Italiano captures the spirit of Italian dining with its cozy, elegant atmosphere and warm hospitality. The decor feels authentically Italian, blending rustic touches and artistic details that create a welcoming space for both intimate dinners and special occasions.

We were invited to this restaurant, and our friends kept talking about it for so long that we finally had to see for ourselves — and it truly lived up to all the praise.

The menu is a true celebration of Italy’s culinary tradition. Freshly made pastas like the rich fettuccine Alfredo and the delicate lobster ravioli stand out for their bold flavors and perfect texture. Wood-fired pizzas arrive with crisp, airy crusts and high-quality toppings. Seafood and meat dishes, like the tender veal scaloppine and the branzino, are prepared with great attention to authenticity and flavor. Each plate is thoughtfully presented, balancing rustic charm with refined technique.

Desserts at Da Vinci are just as memorable. The house-made tiramisu is light, creamy, and perfectly balanced, while the panna cotta and cannoli offer a sweet finish that lingers beautifully. Paired with an Italian espresso or a dessert wine, they round out the meal with a perfect touch of indulgence.

Service is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff eager to help you select the perfect wine or dish. Although it can get busy during peak hours, the overall experience remains smooth and enjoyable.

Da Vinci Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful choice for anyone craving authentic, beautifully prepared Italian cuisine in a warm and charming setting.

My family and I have been going to Da Vinci for many years now and we have always had a wonderful experience, but our dinner yesterday night was extremely disappointing. We had a 6:30 reservation on a Sunday and were made to wait half an hour for a table, which was understandable since it is a small restaurant. When we finally sat down our drink order was taken and there was one bar order from the table that took nearly an hour to arrive. After our meal order was placed, we could see our waiter going to every other table and for some inexplicable reason was waiting on a of the others except ours. A table of six a few tables down to us was even being waited on by two separate servers. All I could think of was that we were at the far side of the restaurant. The food took nearly two hours to arrive and when asked what was taking so long, the waiter gave the lame excuse that the lamb chops were taking a while. Again, understandable to a degree but not two hour’s worth. When the food finally arrived two and a half hours after our reservation time, my girlfriend’s pasta did not come with the chicken she ordered and we were reassured it would come separate soon after. It came nearly twenty minutes later after she was practically finished eating and, just to rub salt on the wound, the chicken was hard, cold, and extremely salty (definitely not the DaVinci standards of before).

The staff was at least courteous enough to offer 20% off the bill but to us the resraurant’s reputation has been tarnished. We do not plan on going back.

Delicious food, unique restaurant! I wish it was closer to home for us. We went with friends. Our server (Shannon) described each of the dishes to us from the chalkboard menu. That is right up our alley – we are foodies at heart. Our group of four shared the scrumptious crab cake with extra lump crab meat, Caprese, and another appetizer. My husband and I shared the surf and turf. We finished off the night with chocolate mousse (made in house) and beautifully presented!! Highly recommend this place and suggest making reservations because it’s a small place. We will be back!
