Really disappointed in how I was treated today. We were given menus we picked what we wanted asked to order to which they sent someone else. They said sorry you have to use a different menu and give it to us and walked off. “Matchday” menu was virtually the same but almost £9 more per person.
I understand different pricing but they gave me the menu and virtually as I’m ordering I’m made aware it’s £18 more.

Vesuvios, Swansea: Italian Comfort Food Done Right
A true cornerstone of Italian dining in Swansea, Vesuvios never fails to deliver authentic, flavourful dishes. Their lunchtime offer (12-3 PM, £11.50 for one course or £14.95 for two) is excellent value—and after several visits over the years, they’re still one of our go-to spots.
Here’s what we enjoyed this time:
Salted Bread – Light, salty, and perfect for dipping in balsamic vinegar.
Margherita Pizza – Classic, crispy, and loaded with rich tomato and gooey mozzarella.
Spaghetti Bolognese – Tasty, hearty, and packed with flavour, though a bit watery.
Cheesy Garlic Bread – Comforting, garlicky, and melt-in-your-mouth indulgence.
Beef Lasagna – The highlight of the meal! Creamy, beefy, and layered to perfection.
Apart from the slightly watery Bolognese, everything was 10/10 delicious. If you’re ever in Swansea and craving top-notch Italian, Vesuvios is a must-visit!

Without a doubt the best Italian restaurant in Swansea. The food is consistently excellent, full of authentic flavour, and clearly made with real care and tradition. Service is warm, friendly, and genuinely Italian in spirit, which makes every visit feel special.
It’s proper Italian cooking, not places that try to look Italian but miss the authenticity. Vesuvio’s is the real deal and always our first choice. Hands down the best in town.

Food is stunning, absolutely no complaints there, such a shame it was let down yesterday by the service. We were treated with such disdain by one particular member of staff, we had to initially ask to order our drinks as no one had come to our table and then another ask another twice if we could order our food …and so it continued. I appreciate that people have off days but please dont take it out on your patrons.

Firsty the service was not up to standard given the special occasion of a birthday with a member of our party.
We ordered the tagliatelle al la pescatore to share and the pasta al padrino, both stated they came with a HINT of chillies but when arrived were very hot and mouth burning which totally took the flavour of the pasta dish away and left us all with burning mouths. Way too many chillies in the bowl for a pasta dish.
Secondly the al padrino dish was supposed to come with tagliatelle but came with linguine pasta instead, I am not sure why we weren’t informed about this and the only thing hot about the dish was the sirloin steak on top. The pasta was luke warm at best. Didn’t complain at the time as nobody came around to check on the food.
Very disappointed aswell given the special occasion of a birthday and not impressed with the pricing given the quality of food we received. The service was terrible, staff were miserable and didn’t seem to care or have any enthusiasm, nobody came around to ask us for anymore drinks, it even took 20 minutes to find someone to give us the bill. You seemed to be nore concerned with the massive party of 20 individuals sitting behind us.
This is not the service we expected to receive and very disappointed at the meal we had here. We won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Excellent lunch, 2 courses for £14.95. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food and a cosy vibe. Brilliant value for money for the lunchtime special menu, which has plenty of options on it.
