Okay, I’m giving this Popeyes five stars even though it does take them a long long long long long time to get your order ready. That being said, the quality of the chicken is at a much higher level than say, the Popeyes in North Chicago, and I’m completely serious about that. You are not getting hours old greasy chicken. If you want your chicken really really fast, you can go to KFC up the street. Of course most of the time KFC is out of the chicken you want, and I’m not up for getting a four piece chicken dinner with four wings in it. I was never a huge Popeyes fan, especially in the beginning. But this particular store has won me over, at this particular store. This store is also extremely clean and well managed, unlike other ones in the area. The only other thing I wish that Popeyes would do!? Offer some fried Gator, unfortunately you can only get that at Captain Porky’s or down in Louisiana Popeyes.

On more than one occasion, I have ordered wings and they were out of them. Today, when I ordered the transitional wings, I was told they were out again and they gave me boneless wings. The order was nothing more than overpriced chicken nuggets and not worth the money. Very disappointing.

First Visit Experience
I recently visited for the first time and ordered the Tailgate Promotion, which was supposed to include half boneless and half bone-in wings. Unfortunately, I received all bone-in wings and didn’t get the four dipping sauces that were supposed to come with the order.
On the positive side, the food was fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the wings, fries, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes, all of which were served hot.
However, the organization could use some improvement. The staff seemed a bit scattered, which might be due to the busy Saturday evening. I plan to visit again, perhaps on a weekday when it’s less crowded.

Its ok if you dont mind missing a piece of chicken and ordering online doesnt mean its ready, fyi if you want food faster they prioritize the drive thru, will ignore if you wait in lobby

So I’m gonna start off by saying my total was $58.56. I gave her 320s which is $60. I was supposed to get back $1.44 and she only gives me back $.44 so she intentionally kept the dollar in the drawer for herself or for whatever reason then to top it off doesn’t give me my drinks and when I asked for the drinks, she’s pulling up the receipt like I’m lying to her after ordering two combos that are supposed to come with drinks she gives me the first drink and still forgets the second drink then I’m waiting there and she looks up to see what size the second drink is and proceeds to give me a medium after I ordered a large and then got upset with me after I told her it was supposed to be a large it says on the receipt She starts to argue with me over the drink size and then grabs a large cup fills it up completely with ice slams the other drink inside of it and hand it to me, overflowing with soda all over the side of the cup. I tried calling customer service to explain, but apparently no one answers so you guys would rather me leave a long, detailed bad review on how horrible the customer service is here. I remember why I stopped going here to begin with. Don’t waste your time. Text the extra a couple minutes and drive to North Chicago. The service and food is way better. This is the last time that you guys will get my business, especially after you tried stealing a simple dollar from me and then argue about my drink after you forgot to give me them in the first place. This is ridiculous. But I have to take time out of my day to post a review and rant online about some damn Pop Eyes

On June 07 @ around 3 pm had ordered 12 pc only chicken, Store Manager took my order I switch the breast for legs in which she said it will be extra $3 more. I said problem I want legs no breast. Got my order and drove off thinking I had the correct order 6 legs 3 thighs 3 wings right . Got home open my box and what it comes to find out was that I had 2 breast 4 legs 1 thigh 5 wings. Called the store told them what I had received in which the store manager answered the phone and said oh I remember I took your order, so I said I need to know if there’s any way i could get refunded for the overcharge since I didn’t got my order correct. Manager told me that i needed the to bring the chicken back to get refunded but my child had eaten 2 legs at this point and now she wanted me to drive back and return the order mind you she charged $3 dollars as water bottles why ? I use to work at restaurant and we all had a key to press for extra charge on everything why charge $3 dollars for water bottles those make your food cost low when it comes to inventory. Because I was a store manager for many years. Now that been said I was still working on wasn’t going back to return food and leave my kid waiting so never went back. In which i don’t understand how a store has only 1 manager working 7 days this don’t make sense since there has to be another manager supervising store while the store manager leaves. That been said I really wish corporate reach out to me because this type of business would not be here for long if they are over working this manager I also have the recording of the call. PLEASE DONT BUY FOOD HERE!

They only get 4 stars because Popeyes is usually phenomenal. This location, however, was terrible. It seemed dark and sort of dingy to me. Communication for our meal was difficult to convey and understand as there was a significant language and no attempt to help with that hurdle. Nonetheless, the food itself was good as usual.

This particular location was one of the worst I’ve ever been to and will never in my life ever go back. Dirty unclean in every aspect, from floors to tables to counter to windows especially the restrooms. Waited 15 minutes to be served even though they knew I was standing there. Finally got my food and the chicken was so small and hardly any meat at all on it.
As I was sitting at the tallest table that was barely clean but cleaner the the rest of them, the lady came out with a bucket to clean the tables BUT decided to put the bucket on my table by my food I was picking away at. I mean who in there right mind does that. Put the thing on a seat of a both table your about to clean. To make matters worse she just left it there and went back behind the counter till I was done eating. Never never never will I ever be back there again and you should never go here either

I live a few blocks away and decided to give them chance again. I will continue to go to the North Chicago location. The wait time & service improved but the size, temperature, freshness of my spicy chicken sandwich and my 3 piece wing dinner that totaled $23 was not worth it.

No customer service at all. Dirty location, packing food with no gloves on. Moving slow while the line is long. Not enough common sense to ask who is waiting for a pickup order. Also watched them mess up 2 orders back to back and charge the customers for their mistake.
