We also ran into issues with the payment terminal—likely due to its outdated technology—which made checkout a bit uncomfortable.
On the bright side, our server Samantha was absolutely fantastic: friendly, patient, and perfectly bilingual. A real standout member of the staff!
I really hope they work on improving the food and refreshing the overall atmosphere, because with a bit of effort, this place could shine.
Was very satisfied with my Charbroiled Chopped Steak during my 1st visit but, wanted to hold of rating after another visit.
This visit, I ordered:
Mushrooms as appetizer
Loaded Tater Tots – 2nd appetizer
and the Mushroom Burger as my meal.
Didn’t forget that superb Charbroiled Chopped Steak so, had an order to go.
on everything I ordered and my other 3 companions were all praises of their choices as well (Chili Burger, Pork Chops and Chicken Fried Chicken).
Definitely, a sure choice for a great meal.
Service is very warm, friendly and fast.
Only little thing was the lighting inside. We went for lunch on both visits and it was hard to read the menu due to very dim lighting.
Still, will be a repeat destination!
We started off with the fried green tomatoes which tasted fine but were a very small order so that was kind of disappointing.
Black eyed pea offers complimentary rolls with butter and after this visit I realize if you request it they can come with honey as well they were good and hot.
We were there on a Monday so the chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken was the special and actually it’s literally a special reduced by I think $4 off the normal menu price. I definitely did not see a need to get the full size as the smaller size covers over half the plate. The jalapeno gravy is always great but for me it could be little more spicy but it’s good overall and as I mentioned before my sides included the squash casserole and loaded potatoes. There’s a 99 cent upcharge on the potatoes if you get them loaded which the waitress did not mention.
My husband got the burger which had a huge onion ring on it and was pretty good. I’m not a burger person so don’t know about what standards to judge it. All I can say is hubby liked it and I didn’t mind it.
Old fashioned banana pudding vanilla wafers included was a great way to end the meal.
I ordered the veggie plate. I had black eyed peas, red beans and rice, squash casserole, macaroni and cheese, and fried okra. There was enough for me to bring home for the next day
It wasn’t overly crowded on the day that we went. It was just a nice relaxing atmosphere and they catered to our party well.
Everyone raved about the service that we received as well as the amount of food and the taste.
Overall, I was 100% satisfied with the experience.
My meal with an iced tea cost approximately $20. But again there was enough food for two meals. Most people went home with a to go box because they could not finish everything on their plate.
We also got plates of homemade rolls served family style.
One party member ordered the chicken fried steak and it was as big as the plate.
Another party member ordered the potato bowl and it was huge. He said it was really good too.
