The sandwich themselves were decadent! I ordered the Paradiso, and I recommend splitting in two. The cheese was creamy and the meat basically melted in your mouth. The focaccia bread was airy and crispy.

The service there was excellent; a nice worker offered me and my partner a sample of another sandwich (which on course, was decadent) for free, because she saw how much we were enjoying ours.

The ambiance was impeccable, although the seating places were limited. It felt small and cozy, and honestly gave vibes you get from being in Italy. The music was also very nice.

Wow, absolutely loved this place. The sandwiches are insanely good and huge — even though they’re around $15–$20, you can easily share one. We had the Paradiso with mortadella, pistachio, burrata, etc., and it was amazing. We also tried another one with Parma ham and truffle cream (don’t remember the name), and it was just as delicious. Definitely worth it.

TLDR: Hell’s Kitchen location of a famous sandwich shop from Tuscany. HUGE handhelds, personal favorites are the Boss and L’Inferno.

I’ve never been to the one in Florence but there’s quite a few locations in the city now. What they specialize in is a Tuscan bread known as “schiacciata” which they make sandwiches with. It’s somewhat similar to a focaccia but thinner and crisper with less sponginess.

The Boss has pecorino/truffle cream, cheese and Tuscan prosciutto. L’Inferno is a shaved porchetta sandwich with nduja, eggplant, arugula – for me it’s a bit lighter but packed with flavor.

I’ve been to the shop and also have gotten it delivered, it travels well. The sandwiches are large and if you’re not a big eater; you could probably share this with someone. The pro move is to get two and split them.

If you go in-person you can see them make each one to order. Solid place for a good sandwich.

All’Antico Vinaio in the US was such a great surprise, especially because they actually offer gluten-free options, unlike in Italy. The gluten-free focaccia was absolutely incredible. I had the one with pecorino, pistachio cream, and mortadella, and it was truly out of this world. The staff was friendly, everything was served quickly, and although there’s usually a line, it moves fairly fast.
The only thing that could be improved is the location itself: having more seating available would definitely make the experience even better. Overall, still a fantastic spot!

Great takeaway sandwich spot. I cannot easily recommend a sandwich as you yourself need to learn which cold cut is your favorite. All are done well here in my opinion. The main reason is that the bread is airy but calorie-dense and the vegetables are fresh. The meats also have the right amount of moistness. So it’s a solid sandwich.

Be wary, I consider this to be a two-person sandwich. I will eat half and then eat the other half four hours later.

Went for an early breakfast and the sandwiches were great! L’inferno with the nduja was immaculate and la schiachiatta del boss was creamy and rich and not too complex. No long wait and found some seats inside.

Disappointing. We had the La Calvina and the ingredients were fresh but it wasn’t very tasty. The focaccia was too thin and bland. The meat was, somehow, not salty enough. I was expecting my mind to be blown but I couldn’t even bother to finish my half of the sandwich. Skip it.

Ive been wanting to try try this place for a long time! I saw it on IG! I was finally in the area. It did not disappoint!

I didn’t think there was too much you could do to a turkey sandwich but I was dead wrong! Their Turkey sandwich was amazing! Think Turkey on steroids! I had it with mozzarella and arugula and eggplant and pesto! I added a few extra items that took it to next level.

The bread is superb and it’s probably what made it so amazing.

I am looking forward to going back the next time I’m in the area.

It’s $21 but it was definitely big enough for two people to share! Sure I could eat it all but I really shouldn’t…

Every sandwich that I’ve ordered here has been pretty good but I do have a couple of issues. One is that you can only order their signature sandwiches, although good, as a New Yorker I expect to walk into an Italian deli and order a custom made sandwich made just for me because I am so special. Also I thought they were a little light with the meat, how is a guy supposed to keep his girlish figure when your skimping out on the mortadella.

We’ve been to their italy locations and were excited about coming here while we were in town. The vibe is not the same as in italy, we wished it were a bit more lively! Other than that, the sandwiches were incredible!!
