This was my first time at Captain Sundae and I had a great experience! I ordered a small scoop of mint chip and got a great portion size for only $4. The staff were nice and friendly and the ice cream came out quickly. It was a cute outdoor setting with benches to sit and a little statue of a captain. Will definitely be coming back at some point this summer!

This location of Captain Sundae is actually a part of Pirates Landing Mini Golf, so we enjoyed a round of golf and then dessert. It seems to be a very popular place as it was very busy on a Monday night! Even though it was busy, the lines were not long and there were plenty of places to sit. The atmosphere is fun with lots to look at. My daughter got a simple cup of vanilla ice cream and said it was delicious. The rest of us got a special they had called a cookie dough bomb! It was gigantic! We really should have gotten one and split it between the three of us. It ended up being WAY too much sugar….but some people may LOVE that. It was exactly as described so the fact that we didn’t love it was not Captain Sundae’s fault! The menu was expensive and reasonably priced. We’d definitely recommend it to others!

Great spot for a sweet treat! Huge menu with lots of options. All the workers were super friendly and got our ice cream out to us quickly. Will definitely be going back!

We visited Captain Sundae in Michigan, the well-known ice cream spot once visited by President George Bush and Mitt Romney. The experience was just okay. The ice cream was overly sweet and not fully frozen, which affected the texture. One of our orders came out wrong. Although we stated it clearly, the cashier didn’t repeat it back to confirm and ended up getting it wrong. Prices were reasonable, but overall the visit didn’t live up to the hype. We gave it 3 stars.

A nice ice cream shop with a wide variety of options. It’s right by the beach, so it’s a quick drive to the state park. Would recommend you try it out! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Stop in at Captain Sundeas for a classic sweet treat. They are known for their Tommy Turtle Sundea, but had several traditional options as well.
Captain Sundeas is clearly a Holland tradition. There was line visible from the road, and posters boasting famous visitors throughout the years, including Mit Romney and G.W. Bush.

Ooooooooooh so good! We were visiting from out of town and got so lucky to find Captain Sundae on google! The service was phenomenal, and the LIGHTHOUSE and the Tammy Turtle were exactly what we woofed down without saying anything but mmmmmm.
The mini golf wasn’t open yet, but I would’ve loved to play that too!

Fun place in Holland to go get some ice cream! There were a lot of people when I went but the line moves pretty quickly and lots of options for whatever type of ice cream you like best! The cookie dough bomb does come with a huge amount of cookie dough!
