Wow….
REALLY GOOD FOOD!
Chili dog, chili burger, slaw, onion rings.
Everything arrived hot, excellent portions, great combination of flavors/ingredients.
I loved the coleslaw. It was more creamy and sweet than it was vinegar and tart. I really enjoyed it, reminded me of back home how my mom used to make coleslaw.
That hot dog was not a skinny scrawny one either, a really good portion.
The burger was very generous, perfectly cooked, enough of all the different layered ingredients – it wasn’t overpowering, the flavors just complimented each other.
The onion rings were excellent! Homemade as you can tell from the pictures, they will heat up nicely in the air fryer tomorrow when I have lunch.
It was my first time ordering, and I definitely will order from them again!

Everything was really good but the chili really surprised me and adding the “Love Dust” seasoning on their already good fries was just wow. The owner and his son were really awesome too. My husband joked about staying for a while so we can get hungry and order again
The area it’s in is rough. I still recommend going! I will just be super happy if they open at another location.

I had the pleasure of visiting Chubz during my last trip to Charlotte. My cousin said there was a place with the best onion rings. I was sold. Upon entering, I loved it! Back home in Cleveland, OH, we call these types of restaurants as “greasy spoons”. Which is a compliment because they have the best home cooked food. Nothing fancy,, just good food. I met the owner who was very friendly and a few good jokes. His associate was also very friendly. The owner gave me the history of the business. I ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, and fresh lemonade. The burger was made perfectly and had a good flavor. However, the star of my meal were the onion rings. Fresh cut onions dipped in a homemade batter and fried to perfection! They were very good. The lemonade was also good. The next time I go to visit, I’ll make sure I stop again. If you’re looking for some good food, check out Chubz!

A chill place to eat. The food and drinks were delicious. I was visiting from out of town and the tea and lemonade remind me of what i miss from the south. Everything was wonderful. I ate my whole plate by the end of the night. Fries amazing!

Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The fries were amazing too; hot, crispy, and seasoned just right. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I’ll definitely be back! Love this place.

A random Google search turned out to be a wonderful experience. The food the service and the atmosphere were awesome. I came in for lunch and ended up making friends. I will definitely come back whenever I am in the city. Oh and they have tamales (pronounced like camel but with a T) LOL just pronounce it like that it’ll be fun. I took one for the road I’ll tell you all about it once I dig into it Thank you!!!! For more fun pronunciations going side and ask about the ribeye LOL

Second time we have eaten here. They have the best burgers in Charlotte and the absolute BEST onion rings I have ever had anywhere. The owner is a character, but in a good way. He is so nice and charismatic and you can tell he loves doing what he does. It is admittedly in a kind of sketchy area of town but his business is absolutely spotless inside and out. I particularly loved the quotes written inside the SPOTLESS bathroom. I will continue to come back.

My family is obsessed with this place. We live about an hour away and will pack up the kids and head out to Chubz whenever the craving hits. Which as I’m writing this review, we might just head out!
The burgers are nothing short of amazing. My sons swear up and down that they are the best burgers they’ve ever had (they aren’t wrong!)
Onion rings??? Come on, they are SO good. My two youngest kids can’t stop eating them and beg for them as soon as we park the car! They are battered wonderfully and fried to absolute perfection.
Chili cheese fries are again, amazing. This is the only place I’ll get chili cheese fries. The fries are fresh and crispy, the cheese is the correct type of cheese sauce and the chili has amazing flavor without being too spicy or thick.
The owner and his son (at least I’m pretty sure it’s his son) are a remarkable team and always so nice and helpful when we visit. The owner even remembers us and interacts great with my kids. It feels so cozy and welcoming.
The prices are reasonable for the quality of food. I’m more than happy to give my money to a wonderful small business like Chubz.
