Had a great meal today. We opted for the AYCE Lunch since we weren’t really interested in the specialty rolls today, we were trying more of the appetizers. The Trapper roll was good (I added spicy crab to it). We also had several appetizers (seaweed salad, Crystal shrimp, spicy edamame, and Trapper bites) and a Buddha-licious roll. Great price for the lunch AYCE as we spend more than that at other places for 2 rolls, 2 appetizers, and 2 drinks.

My birthday is around the corner, and I had to try this location close by where I live, and I was HIGHLY impressed with how AMAZING this food was. I had the Skywalker roll and the first bite took me to Heaven lol Let’s not forget how amazing the Shrimp Tempura was (had 2 orders), and miso soup (was not as hot as I’d like, but still was great), and my drink was great too. Think it was the Maui Tai or something. Food took a little while, and it was not that busy, but the food was worth the wait! Will definitely become a regular customer! Glad I could support my local community restaurant!

Ok… this was hands down the best sushi in town! They had some very unusual combinations, but they were all so good! The Vader roll might be the best I’ve ever had! The Rock N Roll roll was delicious too! I can’t remember the names of the other rolls, but all of them turned out good! It’s on the very west side of San Antonio, and we live in Spring Branch, but it was well worth the drive. Will definitely be going here again when I wasn’t some sushi!

First time visiting Trapper’s sushi. We decided to get the all you can eat dinner at 32.99 per person. Jose provided excellent service with a friendly smile. He was very encouraging when it came to appetizers and desert. We ordered a variety of rolls and only had to wait a few minutes for them to be prepared. There’s no surprise at why they have such a high rating on their reviews. We will be back next time we are in town. Keep up the great work.

We had a really great experience here! The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming.
We did the all-you-can-eat dinner special and sat at the high-top bar. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed; drinks, appetizers, and checking in on us regularly. She was wonderful!
However, we especially want to recognize the sushi chef who prepared our rolls right in front of us. Since we were seated at the bar, we interacted with her the most. She was friendly, entertaining, and gave great recommendations that we ended up loving. She really elevated our experience and made the night feel special.
The only thing that surprised us was learning after we paid that the tip left on the card goes only to the waitstaff, and not to the sushi chefs behind the counter. If you’d like to tip the sushi makers directly, it has to be in cash. We just wish we had known that ahead of time so we could’ve properly thanked her for her service.
Overall, it was a fantastic dinner, and we’ll definitely be back — just with some extra cash next time!

Not sure how this place has over 4 stars. Came here when it first opened and it was good. Tried to come for lunch a month ago and we ended up leaving because we were just standing at the hostess stand for a while with no acknowledgement from anyone. Gave it another shot for lunch and while we got seated timely we had to wait at least 10 minutes before a server came. The steak in the bento lunch box was cold and the edamame was cold. There was a giant fly in my husband’s beer. Didn’t bother to finish my plate I ended up grossed out with everything. Taking this one off the list. Overall, terrible service and terrible food.
