The food is amazing! We ordered the meat trio, tempura vegetables and shrimp, spicy teriyaki chicken, volcano roll, and dynamite roll. Everything, I mean, EVERYTHING was delicious! The atmosphere is great and classy vibes! Our waitress was amazing and attentive but not pushy or overbearing, great place to sit and have conversation with out distractions!

We stopped in passing through Columbia. A family of 5 plus a baby, we were sat right away and service was prompt. There was not a kids menu, but we found items on the regular menu for them to order. The food did not take too long, however, the food quality was not good – the vegetables were over seasoned, pineapple rice was dull and sushi presentation definitely lacking. Our server was very polite, but not overly attentive at all, plates sat on the table when we were done, drinks empty for a duration. The bathrooms desperately needed to be cleaned, and this was not from a single day of neglect. As a family, we were charged a party gratuity and not made aware, so all families of 5 or more, check your bills!

Simply terrible. The experience from telling the hostess wearing a hoody the number in our party, the food, clutter on our sticky table, server that never came back, long delay before food arrive and refrigerated rolls prepared days before was awful.
The rolls were all cold, firm and bland. After taking our entre orders our server disappeared for 30 minutes and I had to go ask for her. The employees have no training in customer service. The hibachi was decent.
We won’t return.

Food was fantastic. Sushi was very fresh. Nice size rolls and reasonably priced. Nice decor. Our waiter Craig was great. Friendly and attentive.

First time here, I had been wanting some hibachi for about 2 wks..I saw that they offered Happy Hour food and certain drinks from 4 pm to 7 pm, so I figured I would try them out.. Once I was seated, a nice lady took my order. I ordered a drink and let me tell you my food was ready so fast it scared me. Lol, all jokes aside I will definitely come back. I gave the food 4 stars because I did not like the fried vanilla dessert.. Other than that, everything was amazing!

Tsunami is a good restaurant with a fairly large menu. There are various unique sushi role choices and other options (such as noodles and chicken) for anyone not wanting sushi. The food was good (and well priced) and our waiter was nice, but the food took a substantial amount of time to arrive to the table. Also, we made a reservation, and showed up exactly on time, however, we still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Sometimes parking can be a hassle since Tsunami shares a lot with multiple other businesses, but if you loop around a time or two, a spot will usually open up.

I enjoy the unagi and steak nigiri that evening. It is close to my hotel and the presentation of each plate the chef made is much better than a lot of Japanese restaurants. Everything was so fresh and the menu offers a great selections. I would definitely go back. Everything is priced reasonably considering they are at a touristy spot(Gervais St). My waiter was very friendly and attentive so I think it’s definitely work giving it a try if you are around the area.

I’m normally a big fan of this restaurant, but today’s experience was extremely disappointing. I paid over $25 for my entrée, and unfortunately it was burnt, rubbery and barely edible.
I placed my order through ChowNow and clearly requested pineapple fried rice in the special instructions, along with crab meat on my salad. When I arrived, I was told they could not provide pineapple fried rice. There was no indication any where on the online ordering page that I could not swap the request pineapple fried rice. I was then told I should have called ahead, however, I attempted to call four times before ordering and the phone line was offline with a busy signal each time.
Typically, if there is an issue with a prepaid order, the restaurant contacts the customer. I did not receive any call or notification. When I arrived, the restaurant was not busy.
To make matters worse, the crab meat I requested was not added to my salad, and I was charged $5 to add it. I ended up paying extra for teriyaki and hibachi sauces. After all of the inconveniences, I had hoped for some level of customer service respect to at least receive a complimentary sweet tea but they even charged me for that.
Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I am forced to go out of my way to bring the food back in order to get my money back. Based on this visit and my experience with the manager, I highly recommend you DO NOT go to this restaurant.

I had a great first experience. I’ve wanted to come here for a long time but just haven’t yet and I was super pleased. Food was awesome and the atmosphere was very nice too. The prices aren’t too high anywhere from 6-13$ for their sushi rolls, among other dishes. Our server was super nice and attentive, even though we came in decently late lol. I liked the decor and the overall vibe of the restaurant as well. I definitely plan on coming back!
