I have been eating here for more than 10 years and I have never ever had any issues. I always go to any Chinese Buffet during dinner hours. That way I never have any fresh food issues. This Buffet has a Great Variety of Asian and American dishes. The Grill Chef is awesome especially if you know what to ask for and what sauces and seasonings and I do. They have Beer and Wine and I always have the Tsingtao. Here are some pictures of my most recent visit today.

Do not waste your money here.
The hibachi station was completely unattended — customers standing there with no cook in sight and no acknowledgment from staff. The buffet food looked old and was cold, like it had been sitting out far too long without being refreshed. While we were still eating, we were asked about the check before we were finished, making us feel rushed out. After paying, the server pointed out that we didn’t leave a tip and noticeably caught an attitude.Tipping reflects service. Cold food, abandoned stations, and pressuring customers does not earn one. There are much better Asian buffet options elsewhere.I won’t be back

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place turned out to be! The food was great, our waitress was very attentive, the rest of the staff was friendly, and everything was clean. The only downside was the paper towels in the bathroom and napkins at the table. For the price, it would have been nice to have better quality to clean/dry my hands & face.

Just meh. Don’t let the pictures fool you. They had 3 of the food bars shut down.
The sushi was all imitation crab rolls.
The nigiri plate was always empty except a couple of scraggly pieces that were so thin you could count the rice below.
All of the other food was overly salty and just slightly different versions of the same thing.

Me and my mother ate their last night. January the fifth 2026. The food was so bad. It was food sitting there from lunch time and we got there at 7 o’clock. The food was absolutely grotesque. My mother tryed eating I could not even get anything except soup. The food was so old. My mother tried to eat and threw up on the way home. I have been going there getting there soup for ages 2 and 3 times a week. But this took the cake.I would not recommend anybody to eat off food bar at there after lunch.Because you’re getting lunch food at dinner time.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Just went in Halloween night barely anyone there. Everything started off fine. Some of the food was cold but it is what it is. For me and my boyfriend cost 39 dollars which wasn’t bad. Handed the lady 40 bucks and she comes back with the reciet and tells us that tip was not included (which we knew) and that we needed to tip her. First of all we weren’t going to leave without a tip. im a server and I know better. She continues to stare at us the entire rest of our meal and I step outside to grab my jacket. The entire time the lady is staring at me out the window. My boyfriend leaves her a tip and proceeded to walk out and she brings another waitress to the window and continues to point and stare. I am a server and never in my years have i had someone that rude and that greedy in my life. Don’t go here unless you want cold food, pushy servers demanding tip, and the server bringing the check too early and staring at you the whole time to make sure you tip. Extremely uncomfortable expierence.

Upon visiting Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet, we were initially confused and somewhat disappointed by the name, as the restaurant does not actually offer hibachi-style cooking. Instead, it features a teppanyaki station, which, while somewhat similar, is not the same. Additionally, the cuisine is predominantly Chinese rather than Japanese, which could be misleading for diners expecting a Japanese dining experience.
Despite this initial letdown, the selection of buffet food is quite impressive and diverse. The offerings range from classic Chinese dishes to American favorites, ensuring there is something for everyone. The teppanyaki station, where you can choose your ingredients and have them cooked fresh, is a definite highlight and adds a nice touch to the dining experience.
Overall, while the name might lead to significant misconceptions, the variety and quality of the food do make Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet worth a visit. However, potential diners should be prepared for a more Chinese-centric menu with the added bonus of a teppanyaki station, rather than the hibachi experience the name suggests.

Good Chinese buffet restuarant. Good selection of foods. You can get food cooked on a grill. If you are in the mood for an Asian buffet, I recommend this place in Charlottesville.

Coming through town early afternoon,so a little hesitant hitting a buffet after the regular noon hour lunch time, but these fears were pretty much dispelled. Good food on buffet and cooked up shrimp on hibachi grill was good also. Not a lot of sauce options like at a HuHot, but they had enough to make it tasty. I will be back if in the area.
