At it’s core is delicious. On the surface you’d think it was just a bar with food served. But the thing is, you get the feeling you are in Mexico City, well, just outside of town a bit. The decorations aren’t decoration but part of the environment. Not sure this place could be anything else at this point. And that’s how the food comes to you- cooked like it’s made in my friends moms kitchen. Cooked just like you’d want!

Just sharing my honest opinion. My girl and I just went for the first time. The look of the building is what drew us in. Giving us the impression of a good place to eat. Upon arrival and after being seated, it was 20+ minutes before we were seen by a server for anything to drink or eat. No napkins. No water. Nothing. After reading the reviews this seems to be a common experience amongst customers. I over heard the table next to us having the same problem only it was at the end of their experience. They had been waiting for the same amount of time we were there just for their check and a to go box. Once we finally ordered and got the process going, the food did at least come out quickly. We did not have to have to wait as long for the food. However, we were not very satisfied with the food. My girl got a combo with enchiladas and chili Riano‘s, and they were mushy and almost soggy. She did not finish her food. I got the shrimp fajitas which looked appetizing at first. And there was plenty of shrimp, they didn’t skimp on the amount. But they were not very tasty. Pretty bland and tasted like frozen shrimp from the grocery store. Kind of the same experience with the peppers in the fajitas. I also didn’t finish my food. To say least we were disappointed with our experience and most likely will not be returning for having to spend 50 dollars for service and food of that quality.

We love the food at Cocina & Cantina! We’ve been patrons since (at least) 2016, mostly ordering takeout, but we’ve also eaten in the restaurant. I don’t understand the negative reviews, but every business can have a bad day or hire someone they wish they hadn’t. Thankfully, we’ve always had prompt service and excellent Mexican food.

My boyfriend got the camarones which were seasoned well & seared to order. I ordered two carinitas & shrimp street tacos and was served tiny, boiled unseasoned and unsalted shrimp that were a quarter of the size to the shrimp on my boyfriend’s and the carnitas were very tough to bite thru. It felt our plates came from different kitchens and we left very confused. Three people touched our table so we were unsure who to ask for refills/questions and were left alone for around 15-20minutes with our food so we just paid and left.

I have eaten here many times and enjoyed it. Tonight went with friends. I had already had a Mexican lunch, so I opted for a burger (first time). When it was brought to me I immediately knew it was a microwaved burger and bun. The bun was wrinkled and as I ate it, the bun began to harden. The burger was a tasteless thing. The Swiss was processed, not real Swiss. All in all to charge $12 for microwaved junk is appalling. Yes I know I’m at a Mexican restaurant, but if you put something on a menu, have the professionalism to actually put some effort into it.

I mainly use their side entrance for breakfast burritos. The owner / management needs to post what their hours are for breakfast burritos since the hours are not the same 7 days a week. This is know as good business so the customers know what time they are open and closed. It is call common sense. Really …how hard is it to put up a sign????

First time customers. We ordered and in just a few minutes we got our food, hot and very flavorful. Friendly service. Got the Ultimate Margarita that was fantastic! Nice areas to eat. The patio was very nice. Will come back for sure! The drive from Ft. Collins was well worth it.

Beautiful patio, the food was not the best mexican I’ve had but for the price and the amount you get it ends up being a good deal. I would recommend you come here around dinner when they have more than one waiter/waitress.
