My wife and I were out running errands and decided to stop and have lunch at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant and we were not disappointed. We were served by Antonio and let me be very clear,,, he was great. He has an amazing attitude, great personality. We were eating out but Antonio made us feel at home, like family. As I sat there I noticed that he gave the same exact service to everyone there. Antonio has an amazing vibe. He is a true asset to Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant. Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had in Lockhart. My wife’s shrimp cocktail came out ten minutes after my meal, and hers doesn’t require any cooking when bill came, I was charged twice and then badgered until I paid again. Will not ever return.

My family got together Monday night after school and meetings and the only Mexican restaurant open in lockhart. We were all pleasantly surprised to have good service, delicious food, good portions, and the plates all looked so good. The men left full and the woman all had to go boxes because the food was just that good but too much for one sitting.

Yuck is all I can say. I ordered 2 carne guisada tacos, which is beef and GRAVY which is not what I got. I got greasy meat on a tortilla. I couldn’t even eat it, it was greasy. So I basically donated $10.28 to this restaurant smh… UPDATE the beautiful taco that has gravy IS what carne guisada is supposed to look like! Herbert’s taco hut in San Marcos is AMAZING! Their tacos aren’t full of grease!

Jalisco style tacos were good but the prices have gone up significantly recently. 3 tacos was roughly $17. Service was subpar. Every time that something was going to be brought to the table (chips, water, check, etc) it was at least 5 minutes before they came back. Very crowded and loud inside.
