I reccomend the Cheeni paratha, Pakoras, aloo paratha, samosas, papdi chaat، balle chaat, and samosa chaat. They were great at giving us items and paper products we wanted. Were good at cleaning up the table of things we finished and trays we did not need. Had options for everyone if you want more simple options and heavier ones. Good for vegetarians no egg or meat. For sweets the selection is unmatched as well as salty snacks. Only minus is that rasmalai is only offered in large size of 12 pieces. We love the mithai here we ordered pur favorites which are pink chum chum, gulab jamun, kaju pista roll, barfi, and jalebi.

This review is a much deserved one – and spans over 10 years, which is the time I have been eating at Bengali Sweets. Over this period, I have seen a consistent and excellent standard of food. Hands down, this place serves the best samosas and chaats in Hicksville, as well as the best dahi bhallas. I love their Chole Bhature, mooli parathas and kadhi and always get a golden/silver sweet paan for an after meal (highly recommend it). We take out food from Bengali’s on a regular basis and their food always meets an impeccable standard. It is hard to get the spice balance exactly right in chaat, and this may be the only place in hicksville (and one of a select few in Long Island) which does it. We also get our Diwali sweets from Bengali’s every year – goes to tell you what the quality is like.

1) it’s called Bengali sweets but it’s owned by a Punjabi or a Gujarati family.
2) food quality is excellent no complain about food
3) service was poor,
I ordered over $100 various items.
Even completing my order and before taking my money they start serving another person and I was waiting in front of the cash counter over 6 to 7 minutes.
This is ridiculous
This is poor quality of service

Large variety of Indian foods to choose from. They also have mithai options. Roti was soft and flavorful and paneer was delicious. Try a mixed variety of their mithai it’s delicious.

Honestly, this place is so good. Their Bengali sweets taste super fresh, and the chaats are crazy delicious. Every time I go, the food feels like it’s made with real care. If you’re craving something sweet or a good snack, this spot is definitely worth it.

Worst ras malai I’ve had, taste like kewra milk and no nuts or any flavor besides kewra.

Excellent chaat and pakoras. The gulab jamun was ok and the Falooda was basically just milk. The dhokla was a little sweet for my taste, but it was soft and fluffy. I would definitely go back for the mixed chaat and the sev puri, but I would pass on the sweets

Nice Bengali sweets spot. They also have many savory snacks options. The decor is okay, good enough to have a quick sit down snack but it’s mostly designed as a takeout place. There are many different sweet options and pricing is reasonable. Service is good.
