IHOP always delivers great food and a solid dining experience! The pancakes were fluffy, the breakfast plates were hot and fresh, and everything came out just the way we ordered it.
The service was friendly and attentive — our server made sure we had everything we needed and kept our drinks filled. You can really appreciate good customer service when you’re enjoying a relaxed meal.
The only small downside was the bathroom doors missing handles, which could definitely use some attention. Other than that minor detail, the food and service were excellent. Overall, still a five-star visit!

I loved this place. Because Genesis the employee was really nice she treated us nice and respectufully. I loved it. I really do recommend. I want to thank Sandy for the attention and kindness. We lost our IHOP in Chico during the Pandemic in 2021. It hurt for awhile, but we got over it…visiting this one reminded me why. My family and I walked in on a Friday night (5:15pm) to a near-empty restaurant. We noticed only 1 waitress, 1 cook, and 1 dishwasher. It took the server 10 minutes to get to us, and she took our order w/o a notepad. The food arrived fairly quickly (a sign of a good cook), but the meal went down from there. The 2 omelets were fairly smallish, and almost devoid of inner meat/vegetables, the ham and bacon were small and over- cooked, and the sweet pancakes (Pumpkin and Cranberry respectively) were good, but overly large in comparison to everything else. NO refills on our drinks, constantly asking for syrup and butter, and once the check arrived, NO further contact from our server. I can see why a lot of their restaurants are either closed/closing OR devoid of patrons. I wanted to give more stars, but in good faith I CAN’T. There has to be better substitutes in Sacramento… find them and eat there instead.

Hmmm. I’m sitting here waiting for about 30 minutes for our order. We sat down an hour ago. The coffee is good.
The food came and it was cold. The server was gracious about it. I sent it back to be heated up.
I’ve had better experiences here but this one was definitely not the best.
Maybe next time.

I had the pumpkin spice pancakes. They were delicious. Definitely pumpkiny, which you don’t always find. My roomie had the Tres Leche pancakes, which are his go-to. They are amazing. It was a quiet Tuesday night, and our server was friendly and eager to help.

I came in for the 55+ selection. After I gave order to waitress, I closed menu she, standing 4ft away, wanting me to hand her the menu. I ask how is you going to take payment form me….the same way? Don’t know what the answer was, but was ask again to pick menu up off table and hand it to her. I didn’t say nothing and was told by her, “I have a right to refuse service on me.” So I left. I don’t think I deserve what happened. If she is afraid of getting sick, wear a mask and gloves. Not make customer feel like something wrong with them.

Early morning Wonka purple pancakes, OH MY GAWD!!!!! THEY ARE DELICIOUS!! Everything was super good, hot, tasted fresh, no complaints. The young waitress was polite and friendly, and the cook was on point with timing and preparation. Will definitely recommend early morning visits!!!
