A nice touch was that the main courses were personally served by Chef Michael, who was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about his food. We ended the meal with the Mille-Feuille, which was a great way to wrap things up.
Overall, a relaxed yet refined dinner with consistently good food. Would definitely return.
I didn’t give a full five stars as the service still has room for improvement. We experienced a long wait before our order was taken, followed by another 20 minutes before the entrée was served. We also had to remind the staff about our wine order before it was finally brought to the table.
We were informed that the restaurant was understaffed and that two of the waitresses were on their first day. While we understand the staffing challenges, unfortunately the delays did affect the overall dining experience.
On a side note, it would be great to see more comfortable dining chairs and slightly more approachable pricing, especially for a casual French restaurant.
Live oysters , served chilled on ice. They tasted incredibly fresh , the texture was silky and plump, and a squeeze of lemon brought out their nature sweetness beautifully . We even had a second serving
For the roasted duck leg , skin was perfectly crispy and cracked with every bite, while the meat underneath remained tender and juicy.
Lobster meat was firm , chunky , and naturally sweet, soaking up the buttery sauce.
Overall, the meal balanced freshness and richness perfectly . It’s a great spot for anyone looking to treat themselves to a special meal.
I’d definitely come back for the oysters and duck again
We had the French onion soup and lobster ravioli which was elegant yet packed so much layers. La Table also had a 1for1 lunch deal which we missed, but would loved to try the next time. We also were treated to two French wines starting with a fresh crisp, honey, pear notes Cremant and lovely Getwurtz to end off with the sweet ending desserts.
To end off, Clement also made special arrangements to get us a small portion of entrees which were delightful – salmon tartare with elegant goat cheese with some tartness. Lovely. Thanks Clement and chef Michael!
Now got some promotion $68++ for two, it is a 1-for-1 feast, available till 31 Dec.
Duck Rillette, Salmon Gravlax Tartelette, Halibut en Croûte is a delicate halibut with a baked golden pastry on top.
Wagyu Beef Parmentier Rossini is very good..
Slow-cooked beef stew topped with creamy mashed potato and a polenta-crusted slice of foie gras.
Gingerbread Crème Brûlée and Eggnog Ice Cream to end. The cocktails were pretty good too.
interesting lobster raviolle. The house red went very well with the dishes. Staff were trained well with the names of dishes. Well done and I think every one should put La Table d’Emma on their must try list. In the same building as Mercure Icon hotel in Chinatown.
The coq au pinot noir was especially tender and flavourful. My partner preferred the wagyu steak. Although the steak was rich, it was nicely balanced by the acidity of the sauce.
Everything was delicious and the servers were very thoughtful and attentive, and gave us great recommendations. The ambience was great too. Perfect for a weekday lunch date.
From before the dinner service started the staff was very helpful in helping me store the flowers (came during lunchtime) for a surprise.
During the dinner staff was very attentive as well and made sure we were well taken care of for the night.
Special shoutout to one of the staff KM who was so friendly and helpful!
We had the Valentine’s day special menu and food was great as well, had a great time here.
