What happen to Abu Omar? Like genuinely is this what I get for $17? I paid $17 with uber pro. They used to serve way more than this every time I order it just gets worse and worse which is disappointing because the food is actually delicious, but it’s not the old Abu Omar nice work

We ordered a beef family platter. They 100% served us lamb. When I asked about it the staff was insistent that it was beef. They even brought out two different meats to show me that it was beef. They explained that they couldn’t do anything. Ultimately it’s not a big deal, but some people may have food restrictions, so be cautious that you may be eating mystery meat. Also see the bug friend.

If I could give it a zero I would. The staff was absolutely rude. The people working behind the kitchen told the cashier to disregard our concerns. We waited patiently to fix the situation. Explained multiple times to the cashier that what we ordered and paid for through the app was not given to us. He said he just works there and doesn’t make the rules. He directed me to a number to raise my complaints to. I told him I don’t live around the corner and would like my issue addressed now. Stood there in front of the counter for 15 minutes where he blatantly helped other customers and ignored us. Told him we can’t wait here all night, he said he told us to call the number. At this point I had enough and took down the number, I asked for the cashier’s name and he refused to give it to me. He said he doesn’t want his name all over Google. I told him you said there isn’t any manager and I’ve only been dealing with you, so I need your name for when I contact the customer service number you gave me. He said no. That’s the customer service you get at this restaurant.

I had ordered an order of Kibeh, which comes with 1 piece. Through the app, I added for 2 extra Kibehs… simple math : 1+2=3
I ordered 2 of these orders. 3+3=6
They gave me a total of 4.

Oh an initially they gave me 2 wraps instead of the 4 that I had ordered. So I guess that math is not their strong suit. A little scary for their business.

I paid around $80. I wouldn’t lie for 2 extra Kibehs. But it’s a matter of principle.

I really love the place but the only thing keeping me from leaving a 5 star review is the portion. I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich the first time I was there, and the meat in it is super thin, hinting its not fresh. Also, the sandwich itself is SUPER THIN and you still charging almost $11? And with a side of fries its $15+ I have to give props to the one worker that was there taking care of business. Exceptional service — proving that the meat isn’t fresh — but the “garlic sauce” 75% mayo 25% garlic is great on the sandwich. Overall good eats but please address my concerns and improve by the next time I choose Abu Omar Halal!

Found a Hair in My Food – Extremely Disappointed

I used to be a regular customer and genuinely liked this place,
but today I found a hair in my food, and it completely ruined my meal.
This is basic hygiene — there’s no excuse for something like this, especially from a restaurant that wants to be taken seriously.
It’s disappointing to feel like the standards have dropped.
Cleanliness and respect for the customer’s food should be a top priority.
Until things improve, I won’t be coming back.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I respect your professionalism and the way you acknowledged the issue.
However, I have to be honest this experience really affected my trust, and I’m still very hesitant about giving the place another try.
Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and it’s hard to overlook something like this.
I do hope things improve, and I wish you the best.

I recently encountered a new policy requiring customers to pay over the phone for pickup orders, apparently without prior notice or clear communication. This requirement was applied even to relatively small orders. In my case, the order was only three items totaling about $45, which did not seem like a large order.

I suggested to the cashier that the restaurant might consider identifying frequent customers and exempting them from this policy, while applying it primarily to new customers. That would be a simple way to maintain trust with regular patrons while still protecting the business.

Unfortunately, the response I received from the cashier was simply, “I can’t do that.” The interaction felt dismissive and made the policy come across as unnecessarily inconvenient.

I understand businesses need policies, but clear communication and a bit of flexibility for loyal customers would greatly improve the customer experience.

Worth the money . The guy who took and helped us and explained what things were and how they’re made & ingredients , very sweet and polite . Would recommend and definitely coming back.

Abu Omar Halal went above and beyond in hosting a special event for me, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their generosity and hospitality. They sponsored the event and provided an incredible open buffet filled with a variety of delicious Mediterranean dishes.

The team was extremely accommodating, allowing not only more guests than originally anticipated, but also providing gifts to children and offering Henna artwork designs. Everyone enjoyed the food, the games, and the entire night was superb. Their kindness and professionalism made the experience that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend Abu Omar Halal, not just for their amazing food, but for their dedication to the community and their unmatched hospitality. Thank you again!
