Food was excellent. Got tacos and a few different bowls. Everything was excellent! Make sure to ask about spice levels as the sauce i got was a little spicier than I wanted but was ok. Cheese was fresh, meats were cooked perfectly. Chips and salsa were help yourself and was tasty! Great food.

We went late at night on off hours when they were very few people. The staff was very nice and willing to make off menu drinks as they have a fully stocked bar. I had a Tom Collins. The bartender knew how to make it without looking it up. The food was amazing and they have like a salad bar but with chips and salsa. Salsa’s a tad bit spicy but very easily manageable. The location is far deep in Hilliard off in the cut.

Nice music and eclectic decor. But the rest, not so much. Our service was sub-par and I didn’t care at all for the food. Probably won’t be coming here again in the future. The guac was tasty but the carnitas bowl was far too spicy to enjoy.

Never disappointed in the food, especially during happy hour taco Tuesday. Drinks are strong and select tacos are $2.22 on Tuesdays. There is a place inside where you get your own chips and salsa. Being seated was a bit confusing and it took us a while to get service. You can park in their parking lot or the parking lot up the street. Nice outdoor patio

The other night we were in Hilliard, OH and wanted Mexican food. We went to the Local Cantina – 3975 Main St, Hilliard, OH 43026.
Interior cozy, colorful, very nice
Wait Staff fantastic, attentive, polite, cheerful
Chips – too hard, too crunchy
Salsa – tasted like it came from a can
Fajita burrito – tortilla very good, steak good, flavor-bland, really no flavor
Supreme burrito – slap sauce-yuck, tasted like salad dressing. very bland, no flavor.
Overall, we will not go back – the food was bland, forgettable and just not good. We were very disappointed and were really looking forward to Mexican food….

I was turned off by the heavy metal music. Google Maps said this is a Mexican restaurant so I was expecting Spanish music being played. I was quite bothered by that. So that’s my only criticism. The food is pretty good and it came fast. We ordered burrito bowls and the food came within 5 minutes. The vegetables were fresh, and the chicken was well done and seasoned properly. The side bowl of potatoes were freshly made and hot, it was good too. Other than the music, I enjoyed the food and the quick service here.

This is one of our go-to takeout joints in Hilliard. When we pick our food for dinner on weekends, it’s always crowded–inside and out.
Food is very good. We particularly enjoy a variety of tacos served here.
Once in a while there might be a mix-up or two on your orders especially when you order a lot, so you must be vigilant about your order.

I had an amazing dining experience at local cantina ! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the cozy and inviting atmosphere, complete with vibrant decor and a friendly staff. The service was prompt and attentive, and our server was happy to make recommendations and answer any questions we had about the menu.

But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. I ordered 3 different chicken tacos. I particularly enjoyed the homemade salsa and guacamole, which were the perfect accompaniments to entrees(ordered seperate)

Overall, I would highly recommend anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding, and I can’t wait to come back again soon!

If you’re someone who is looking for a “Mexican restaurant” with zero ties to Mexican food besides the names of menu items, and was created by people with aversion to seasoning, no taste and the humor of mid 2000 high schoolers, then you’re in luck because local cantina is just for you!

I stopped by to grab a quick meal after a long drive and it’s hard to put into words how unimaginably bad the food was. It lacked all flavor besides a hint of sour, not from sour cream but from veggies past their prime and dirty flattop. I ordered a burrito that came with overcooked plain white rice, black beans poured straight from a can, slimy off putting (probably out of date) peppers and onions, pico that consisted of more tomato core than flesh and overcooked bland chicken.

The only reason I would consider 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff was only slightly annoyed that I was there an hour before they close but not inherently rude.

I honestly wasn’t even going to write this review because the restaurant was so bad that giving even a second more thought to the meal was more than this place deserves but to my dismay I’ve also had food poisoning for the last day and a half to remind me of the mistake I made of choosing to eat here.

First time here, not too bad. We’ve been trying to get in for years. Every time we came, the line was out the door, they were closed, or some other random reason. Staff was friendly enough and kept our drinks full. I got the beef chimichanga, and while it was good, I wished there was more beef or less refried beans. I’d like to get it again, but with chicken. My wife had two tacos and she really liked both. We’ll be back for sure.
