We had an outstanding experience at the Rusty Beagle in Lewisville. We originally made a reservation for 8, changed it to 12 just hours before arriving, and then had even more of our group show up—24 people in total. The staff could not have been more accommodating and gracious. They gave us the entire back room to ourselves.
Our waitress, Emily, was fantastic. She handled our large, lively group with patience, professionalism, and a great attitude. The food was excellent—so much so that we asked for the cooks to come out so we could give them a round of applause. Every person in our group was happy with their meal.
We don’t live in the area and were trying the restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation—which can sometimes be hit or miss—but this was a definite hit. If we’re ever in Lewisville again, we will absolutely return to the Rusty Beagle.

This place is an excellent dive bar / sports bar. The Coors Banquet is super cheap, and all their food is excellent, and great value for the price. Service not always friendly, but generally competent. So quite good all around.

Great service turned this “not bad” night into a great one. The furnishings are basic, the food we ordered was solid and flavorful (but not exactly memorable), What turned a “meh” night into a memorable one was our stellar server. The staff make all the difference there. What might be run-of-the-mill otherwise became a place I am looking forward to visiting g again. Nothing snooty, but the atmosphere created by the warm staff far surpasses any food or physical ambiance. Great place to watch a game with friends or family when the cable or internet acts up.

A local favorite with a neat little bar and plenty to choose from on tap. Food was not. I will patronize again just as a drinking patron. I have heard their hamburgers are good-my friend and I should have ordered that instead!

I had a patty melt, one of my favorite sandwiches, it was on Texas toast. This was not the best I’ve ever had, but it was good. The burger was well seasoned, it’s the Texas toast that actually detracted from the sandwich. It was actually just toasted rather than grilled. I can tell you this though, you cannot beat the fried mushrooms. We came in for lunch, I would like to come back for a game and another burger.

So disappointed, my husband and I went there it had been in a while. We always get fried mushrooms and burgers. The mushrooms were over cooked and very hard to bite into like it was deep fried way too long. The burgers were actually so overcooked and hard. They use to have really good food. Service was excellent she noticed we didn’t eat our food and said this cook overcooks all the food. She discounted the bill but we miss the rusty beagle good burger joint

This could be better. When we walked in our feet stuck to the floors. The entire place is just a sticky floor and the table wasn’t much better. The burgers were overcooked. But…they were still pretty tasty. They had just run out of the pretzel bun. Definitely worth a 2nd try. The $5 big beer was the winner of the night.

Definitely a fantastic chill environment almost like cheers where everyone knows your name. The staff is friendly they have Happy Hour and trivia plus some really great drink specials. Gave 4 stars because the food was not that great, it was great but definitely missing some seasoning. Total cost for burger meal, taco trio, fried mushrooms, tap beer and Malibu pineapple drink $49.
Will definitely go again

Every time I go in here I have low expectations but then I’m really pleasantly surprised. I think it’s because the place could use a facelift. It looks like a dive bar but they actually make really good drinks even cocktails. The service is always good too.

Fun place. Trivia night is fun and they have good drink specials. Some of the younger servers seem to be annoyed if you don’t order enough and then I feel like the service can be lacking. When we go for trivia we usually tip high rather we eat our dinner there or sit for trivia and drinks only. But if we don’t eat there sometimes it feels as if the server (only some)is annoyed that we are there at all, which is upsetting because we plan to tip high in order to compensate for the lack of a need for service. But it seems odd that they would be bothered if we don’t eat, because when we do eat other than bringing our food to us they’re still providing the same service the rest of the time (checking to see how we’re doing and refilling drinks). But if we don’t order food they tend to NOT check on us as much or refill drinks. And that’s what I usually base my tip on.
