It was my first time trying the blackened tenders and they were super good! The gentleman working asked if I would pull up because he was still working on the tenders. When he brought them out they were fresh and hot AND he threw a biscuit in there for my wait. He was very kind, and I got the impression he was working alone because the vehicle in front of me had a wait, as well as the one behind me. If he was indeed running shop alone…he needs a raise because he was handling it well.

Wow. I will never be back to this location after that service I received tonight. I downloaded the Popeyes app & placed my order ahead of time, thinking the workers would prepare my order before my arrival. I arrived a little under 15 minutes after my order was placed. I got to the screen, waited a good 5 minutes, no response. Eventually, the worker said “welcome to Popeyes,” and muted her mic. No other words were stated before I said that I had placed an order for (my name). She said “okay we’re not ready for it,” and then another voice got onto the mic and said “welcome have it done pull forward.” Already, I was confused but I got to the window and was told to wait and pull forward. She didn’t hand me my drink and actually forgot my drink. I waited a good 15-20 minutes while staff was laughing and talking inside around the dinning room area. The worker came out, rudely handed me my food & didn’t even apologize. I will be deleting the Popeyes app and never returning to this location. Popeyes, Do better.

2/6/2026 I come to pick up a doordash at 9pm and all the lights are out (intentionally) Finally after 10 minutes sitting in the drive thru they acknowledge I am here. They then accuse me of lying about the dash so I have to show it to 2 different employees. They immediately have me park in the lot where there are 4 other dashers who have been waiting for a long time. They then say we aren’t making his food and to cancel his order. I never received my dash. Very shady place with AWFUL SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT! I definitely won’t eat here myself and I will NEVER take another dash from here. A LOT of my friends are veterans and attend the VA next door as well as work there. I will make sure ALL OF THEM know the shady practices at this location. RUN FAST!!

Horrible customer service. Each car was at the ordering speaker for 5 mins. No exaggeration. When it was my turn, there was no greeting. I waited 1 min until I finally said hello to get their attention. The reply was wait a minute. When I was actually able to order I was cut off by laughter in the middle of my order. Again I needed to wait a minute before I had to restart my order. It was clear that they were having a good time in there and ignoring the line of cars that was 4 deep. No sense of urgency at all. They just didn’t care about their jobs or customers. I’m avoiding this location at all costs.

I just noticed that my last three reviews were one stars and well deserved one stars but then it made me think there are also places that I should be giving positive feedback same company different results. I believe it starts with management. This Popeyes is always courteous with hot fresh products and I will never cheat on them with another Popeyes again.Lol

They just need to close this place, I’ve been here several times and get the same results,, which is horrible food that’s lukewarm and never hot. I love Popeyes so much and when it’s cooked fresh to order it’s the best chicken hands down. My wife straight up got sick from eating here on 2/16/26. Stay away from this south county location

I can only post if I give a star? So, that’s why I gave them one. If it were up to me, there would be (—- )negative 5 stars. EVERY SINGLE TIME that I have come to this location, I either CAN NOT get them to answer at the drive through order window OR I’m told that it will be awhile before a particular item is ready bc they don’t have any dropped. Just now, at 7:14 p.m. Central standard time, I was told that it would be 10 minutes before I would have the sandwich that I wanted to order with my combo meal.
No problem I understand as I have worked in the hospitality industry most of my adult life! So, I opted to just get a five piece chicken strip meal with some fries and was told that basically they don’t have any fries left they’re out of them. And also that they didn’t have any chicken strips to my understanding.
I thanked them and took my business over to Taco bell. It’s a shame, because this Popeyes is a new location to my neighborhood. I literally live a minute away. My family was really excited whenever there was actually a new fast food joint in the area because I am tired of Taco Bell and McDonald’s and steak and shake that’s literally pretty much all there is to eat in South County if you want fast food.
I will say that in the history of this establishment having been built, the only time that I got excellent service was the first couple weeks that it was open. Once all the corporate trainers left this location completely went to crap.
I purposely don’t go here because either the line is 10 mi long and they’re not able to get food out the window, or I get a complete attitude from whomever is working. Or they tell me they have no food to serve. If I am even remotely lucky to even get served when I come here, the food is terrible because it is overcooked or it is cold and has been sitting under a heat lamp. Just tear this place down. Why is it here whenever people can’t even get food!? You can check my history I don’t leave reviews. For me to leave a review like this, it has to be pretty bad. And I am straight up letting you know it is pretty bad!!!!! I prefer to leave positive reviews. I think it’s only fair that the owners of this franchise know that this Popeyes is going to go out of business pretty quick. It’s known around the neighborhood to not go to this Popeyes! That being said, I will NEVER go there again.

Place just opened up. Went on the first day to give these guys a try. I will never forget the taste of the spicy chicken. Delicious, I had to get one more. Customer service was super friendly and fast. Even though they were just hiring new staff, they were all getting it done professionally and quick.
Hopefully the ‘freshness’ and ‘friendliness’ last a long time.

Have to change my review. My husband and I go there for the chicken and the sweet tea. The last few times my husband has gone there the wait has been awful. Tonight my husband was going to purchase for me the sweet tea because we like it so much. He was waiting in line to give them his order for 15 to 20 minutes. The person that was in front of home had waited 10 minutes then left. He stated that it looks like they completed one order at a time. Making the wait for fast food longer. This is the normal now there. Lots of playing around not doing there jobs. Suggesting watch your video of ypur employees and the drive thru times. Finally got my husband to go there again from having bad experernces from thr Butler Hill location. Now you all lost our buisnes again.
