I’ve been coming to this Waffle House for 19 years. The staff is friendly and consistent—one of the waitresses has literally seen my children grow up. The food is always comforting and exactly what you expect, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It’s places like this that keep you coming back for decades. Highly recommend.

As usual, I had the hash browns all the way including both chili and gravy. They got the browns crispy enough this visit. The service could have been more tentative, but she was nice. Parking at this location can be hectic the way that it is tucked next to the gas station and their popularity. We caught a break getting there early on a weekday. My wife is on a kick with substituting raisin toast for Texas on the grilled chicken deluxe. I must say, she is on to something tasty! She forgot to do that this time around.

This review is not about the food. The food was very good. Hats off to the cook and to the cashier that took my order, she was great. My review is of the Manager. I regret I did not get her name. My issue with her was her lack of customer service. After placing my order, I proceeded to sit down at the table/bar and she gave me a dirty look and told me to sit in one of the seats of the waiting area. I was confused because a man was sitting at the table/bar and it was VERY OBVIOUS he placed a take-out order. Question, why was he allowed to sit where he wanted to sit and I could not? I didn’t ask the reason why I could not sit at the table/bar because I knew I probably would have been rude to her and I did not want to upset myself on this Sunday morning. As a paying customer, I felt it was unnecessary and weird to tell me to not sit at the table/bar. Also, it wasn’t that crowded where I needed to sit elsewhere. As long as I have patronized a Waffle House, it has never been a problem to sit at the table/bar. Hope she can learn better customer service skills.

Had a great breakfast at Chapel Hill Rd. Douglasville Georgia cooked up to perfection by Jeff. Did I eat it all? As much as I could… it was delicious! But had to save room for my pecan waffle! Which was on point! Know what makes a great meal besides the perfection of the cook? How you are made to feel welcome in the place you enter. Lots of smiles and laughter. Our waitress Betty made us feel right at home. She makes you either want to hang around or come back again real soon! Thank you Jeff and Betty for making another Waffle House Meal great!
