Sunshine
The sweets here are fantastic. They have a Dubai chocolate crepe that is worth the trip. Pair it with ice cream and you will have an amazing dessert experience. The crepe had the crunch texture and the chocolate flavor just like the Dubai chocolate. It was amazing. The ice cream was perfect. It was rich and creamy. The flavors were good. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it hides a wonderful sweet time.

went to Dessert Lab the other day because it was one of the only places open in the area due to the ice.
A lot of other spots were closing early and this place seemed like it had a wide selection of desserts, so we decided to give it a try.
From the outside, it looks cute.
The logo is nice, the setup is aesthetically pleasing, and there’s plenty of space inside. However, once you’re there for a bit, things start to feel off. The energy wasn’t great. The guy at the front was nice enough but not very personable, which added to the overall awkward vibe.
The food itself was disappointing. The churros were not freshly made AT ALL they reminded me of fast-food churros, like something you’d get at Jack in the Box. They tasted reheated, were hard instead of soft, and weren’t even warm.
Cleanliness was a major issue. The place didn’t feel very clean overall, and the bathroom was honestly disgusting. There were paper towels in the toilet, and the toilet rim was visibly brown and dirty. I didn’t even want to use it, but I had to. It grossed me out so bad that i immediately went to shower when I got home. Maybe I’m just extra??
To make matters even weirder … about five minutes after we left the establishment, there was fraudulent activity that happened on the card that was used to pay. Someone attempted & successfully was able to take out a loan, which led to a whole other ordeal. I can’t say for sure whether it had anything to do with the transaction there or not, but the timing was concerning??
Overall, the experience just wasn’t for me.
Between the off energy, cleanliness issues, disappointing food, and everything that followed after, I won’t be returning. Ever.

We had the vanilla ice cream with fruity pebbles and sprinkles, mint chip, cookies and cream with cookies, dubai chocolate with strawberry cheesecake ice cream. The dubai chocolate was very chocolatey and not enough pistachio cream. I’d give it a 7.5 out of 10. The other flavors were an 8 out of 10. Cute place, awesome service

We got a waffwich with Dutch chocolate ice cream, Nutella, and dark chocolate topping. It was really yummy, the waffle was fresh and hot and it contrasted with the cold ice cream. So decadent. The Ferrero Rocher shake was great as well. Very sweet and hazelnut forward. Service was good and it felt clean in there! Parking was a little hard. Would go again.

Tried the Dubai Chocolate Crepe here and it was amazing. The crepe was soft and warm, loaded with rich melted chocolate and just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell they put care into how it’s made. It looked great and tasted even better. The staff was super friendly and the place has a chill vibe, perfect for a quick dessert stop or hanging out with friends. Definitely coming back to try more!

This place was good overall, but your experience may vary depending on when you visit. We went during a busier time, and the restaurant was pretty crowded. Once we placed our order, it took about 10 to 15 minutes to get our food, which isn’t bad, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re expecting a quick bite.
It can also get quite loud inside, to the point where it’s hard to hear when your name is called. If you’re dining in, just be aware and keep an eye out when your order is ready — you might not hear them call it out.
The one thing that did concern us was noticing some of the kitchen staff preparing food without wearing gloves. While that might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, it did raise some questions about hygiene standards.

I took my family to Dessert Lab and we had an incredible experience! This is easily one of the best dessert shops in Dallas for families and dessert lovers alike. We ordered a variety of treats including their famous crepes, churro bowls, and Dubai chocolate desserts — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The kids loved their ice cream, especially the cotton candy and birthday cake flavors, and I couldn’t get enough of the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I’ve added a few pictures of the crepes we ordered — they looked just as good as they tasted! If you’re searching for “dessert near me” or the best crepes, waffles, or ice cream in Dallas, Dessert Lab is a must-visit.
