The large smoked chicken wings here, terrific! These were large and tender and juicy and full of flavor. The ribs, large and meaty and smoked nicely. The sides are not very memorable as it’s just standard baked beans and slaw. The gator, was a little too chewy and not quite as amazing as I hoped. The fried catfish, on par with what I expect a nice grilled catfish to be. The hush puppies, hard and needed a lot of vinegar to break down to be edible. The end result. I’ll be back. The Wings are phenomenal and the ribs, meatingly satisfying.

My plate looked like a love letter to comfort food — golden fried catfish fillets stacked high beside juicy smoked sausage and tender pulled pork. This is what we got for $20, pictured below. We ordered takeout for the first time. The ribs were very thin (not meaty). The outer meat was very tough and hard to chew, tasted like they had been sitting under the heat lamp all day. I really don’t think this was a 1/2 slab of ribs like we ordered. Very disappointed.

I’ve been to Hank’s several times always good however I went yesterday and the inside of my cheeseburger was raw I could not eat it. If this is the way they normally make cheeseburgers I will not order the cheeseburger again but I will go back.
