Simple burger joint. Love that there’s a generous playground for kids to run and play. Appreciated that there were healthier options in the paleo bowl though it was quite simple (no dressing). Food was fine but was very greasy.

Inconsistent but good burger
A fun burger joint for kids and families. They have a colorful playground for the little ones and sports on the TV for the adults.
They have burgers that are a little different from the norm and are typically pretty good. They offer hat sauce, similar to pepper corn sauce.
I’ve had some really good burgers here, but not always. Not sure why the burgers are inconsistent, but note they are typically good.
They have a variety of fries, including bay seasoned and sweet potatoes. Worth checking out if you have kids that need to burn some energy.
If you go through the drive thru, you will find a wall of stickers left by customers. There are some interesting ones to see.

Really enjoyed this place. Food is solid, good burgers and fries.
Real selling point for me is the outdoor playscape for the kids. There is outdoor seating near TVs (for sports) and you can have your kids play on the playscape while you have a burger, beer, and watch the game.

I love this place. They have an incredibly friendly staff, the service is fast and the food is tasty. I’ve never had a bad meal here. They have indoor seating and a wonderful outdoor covered patio and separate covered picnic tables. It is kid friendly with family bathrooms. The burgers are a little pricey but fresh and made to order so to me it’s worth it.Just a warning it gets packed at lunch so you might want to eat an early or a late lunch to avoid the crowd. You absolutely should try this burger joint if you are in Austin.

Great establishment tucked away right off Bees Cave Rd and the 360. They provide both indoor and outdoor dining as well as a good sized playground for children. Burgers are a decent size and moderately priced. The attendant was very friendly and definitely a local Texan which is always a plus. I had the Little Hat burger with added cheddar. The burger might have tasted a bit better in my opinion had it been warmer but we went with a group of people and waited until everyone had their food. I’d return perhaps not to this location because of the distance from my home but the experience was great.

Hat Creek Burger is a very consistently excellent burger with lots of options and good pricing for the quality of food. A few things of note, the location is tricky at the corner of Bee Caves and 360. You basically have to come in from the 360 side and it’s a bit tight especially when people are merging on 360 going highway speed. The set up of the parking lot is a bit strange you have to go around the drive thru to get to the parking by the entrance and the drive thru flips around the other way, there is a playground so it attracts a lot of kids, no big deal but something of note, the seating inside is good but can be limited on a busy day, the outside seating on the covered patio is great, out where the stone is not ideal the benches are very wobbly and it makes it hard to eat, definitely when sharing with multiple other people. The food is excellent they have lots of good sauces and the portions and pricing is very good. I also like the self serve kiosk to order, you do the whole thing yourself and they call you when it’s ready.

are you looking for a tasty burger place that pretty much has everything you could ask for? well, hat creek, in my opinion has it all. tasty burgers, yes. outdoor seating with tvs, yep! outdoor play area for your kids, absolutely. oh and don’t forget they have beer, wine, and margs. not sure what more you could want!
