I had a great time for a first date! It was quiet for Saturday lunch time. The parking garage is paid but free on sundays. The food was great and the service was stellar in the beginning.
However, we saw our waitress take her lunch break during our stay and she did not ever come back to drop off the check… I had to walk up to her and ask ? They staff had sat together and started eating… and we were still waiting and waiting.. pretty awkward. I realize it was slow but I’ve never eaten as a waitress in front of my customers.
Other than that , it was a great time.

Mesa Hibachi has become our favorite go-to spot every time we head to the movies in Silver Spring, Maryland. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the customer service is truly outstanding. They’ve gotten to know us so well that when we walk in, they already know what drink I love and the type of food I enjoy — and that kind of personal touch makes all the difference.

The food and service were great. However, our waiter made a slick move. We were there on December 23 with a large birth day group. My friend order a margarita and left it up to the waiter which later cost her $18.00. I ordered a House Pomegranate Margarita which was $8.50 during happy hour and it was doing that time. When I got my bill he had charge me $11.00 regular price.l called him on it and he said something real fast about using a better alcohol and he dashed off real quick. I was going to address the manger but since it was Christmas I decided to let it go. I just want to warn the customers if you are ordering alcohol drinks make sure you match the price on the menu to your bill. If it wasn’t Christmas time I would have taken it farther. No matter how nice and fun loving he was that was a very good slick way of increasing his tip because it was added into the bill. I always enjoy my food along with the cooks and waiters. I will be going back there in the near future.

We visited last night and the food was incredible but nothing topped the service we experienced with our server Brian. He was funny and pleasant and truly made the entire dinner an event. Brian was prompt and touched the table just enough to be helpful and never annoying. The portions were enormous and the two free shrimp was a fun surprise. Overall a wonderful dinner and fun environment. 10/10 would recommend!

Went in with family today and had a wonderful time. The waitress was very sweet and the cook was amazing. Our food was super yummy . After tipping our cook surprised us with balloons which was very nice of him. I would 100% recommend our cook but I didn’t catch his name. Overall, 10/10 would come back again!!

Went to Hibachi for the first time and it was a really wonderful experience! The chefs were absolutely wonderful and very engaging. Lots of fun and energy all around.
The food was pretty solid but it would be nice for there to be some sort of protein for the vegetarian hibachi. I wish that vegetarian food at restaurants like this one didn’t feel like as much of an afterthought. The miso soup was wonderful and the veggie gyoza was decent. Overall would come back for the energy and the vibes.

Has to be one of the best happy hours in the area!!!! I enjoyed everything and prices blew other local sushi/asian restaurants out the water!!! Bar was spacious. Beware of auto gratuity. Did not pay attention and accidentally over tipped for a party of 2 sitting at the bar. Luckily, our experience was good enough for us to let it slide and can’t wait to come back!

Really fun hibachi spot. Tried a couple sushi rolls – the million dollar roll (delicious) and a shrimp tempura roll (good). Also got veggie potstickers, they had excellent flavor.
Portions are massive! I got shrimp, scallop, and lobster hibachi, it was way too much to eat at one time. The seafood was good quality and fresh. The mushroom/clear soup and ginger salad were pretty standard for a hibachi place.
The servers were very helpful with a food allergy in our party. The bathroom could use attention – some of the stall doors don’t close properly.

Celebrated my daughter’s birthday here yesterday and the service was outstanding. The Hibachi cook was very entertaining and paid close attention to my daughter’s allergy precautions. He made sure to separate her food from the seafood, and all of the food was fresh and truly delicious.
The servers were so attentive and caring. The absolute best service we have experienced in a long time! It was exceptionally clean in the restaurant and the ambience is nice. At the end of dinner they song happy birthday to my daughter, and helped to bring an eventful day to a beautiful close. Thank you Masa Hibachi ✊

The hibachi dinner was delicious and portion sizes are generous. Couldn’t finish the meal and had to bring the remaining food home. The waitstaff were all friendly and on top of things.
If going with a group for the hibachi on the weekends, be sure to make a reservation as there is limited seating and high demand.
