Got sat by the dividing wall near the kitchen and I don’t think they think we can hear them. Soon as whatever drama was going on started popping off it made for a pretty miserable time. Got to hear about regulars who are not favorites of certain servers. Also got explained through the wall that a server wasn’t cutting into their labor. Just on and on. Not a fan. Won’t return. They can’t all be amazing. Food was great as usual.

Food was not good very tasteless and not properly cooked. I’m waiting staff however was outstanding. The atmosphere had a little to be desired, as I saw that there could be more cleanliness when it came to the floors especially around the tiled areas. I also saw an employee pick up straws wrapped in paper off the floor and sent them on the counter with the other straws. To me that’s a health issue and concerns me about what other things may be going on. Especially if you’re willing to do it right in front of customers.

On 1/1/2025 around 8:39pm, I attempted to place a DoorDash pickup order at the bob evans at this Westlake, Ohio location. I looked at the time and notice I still had a minute to place the order thru this app. Then I checked to see what time the merchant closed that day which was 9pm. With one minute left, I was still unable to place the order.
I contacted DoorDash and expressed this also and was told that I was unable to because the restaurant refused orders as they are closed. Whelp we know that’s a lie as I called and confirmed and verified it on Google. The time is now around 8:45pm and I call to place a phone order. The employee on the phone did not seem pleased and was hesitant to take my order. I get it, it’s New Year’s Day and you want to go party or do whatever. However, you are at work and you’re still open for business thru the company that hired you which is Bob Evans.
Leadership clearly didn’t want you closing early or else it would have been advertised, etc.. I place my order while enroute and the male employee says “my doors close at 9”.. So I make it there and was able to pay and notice the employee that took my order and was rude. White male, young, had tight skinny jeans on, black shirt, long acrylic or press on nails, makeup and earrings but no name tag. He was so pissed lol but in that moment it was about principle. He didn’t greet me, nor look at me to the point a white lady who greeted me at the door, ended up giving me my food and taking my payment. She even thanked me which I appreciated.
In conclusion, Bob Evans used to be one of my favorite places to eat at. Unfortunately, unprofessional employees like him which bad customer service is changing that. With so many options these days, that will be easy to do. The onions in my chili were not diced, the apple pie that is priced at $4.39 is tiny. I will say the warm apple cider was good but that was it. Time to improve Bob Evans.

Have frequented this location for years and was recently highly disappointed. I attempted to order carry out breakfast on 12/28 for my family & unable to do so because they had no eggs. I returned this morning 12/29 and placed an online order for carry out to be ready at 8 am. I ordered 3 meals all Including various combinations of meat potatoes and eggs. Nearly all of the food was not edible. All of the meat was overcooked, dry and burnt. The home fries were over cooked and burnt and the omelette was Covered in green onions ( which were never ordered ) & and when I say covered I don’t mean as a garnish it looked as if someone dumped a whole container of onions on top of the food. Highly disappointed and next time will spend the money to cook for ourselves. Respectfully whoever prepared and allowed that food to be given out needs their skills refreshed.

They were very short staffed tonight and very busy. Our server was excellent especially considering the circumstances so I wanted to make sure I tipped them well. The receipt they brought to the table said Kaydun was the name of our server but after I left I noticed the receipt the cashier gave said Janie was our server. That made me uneasy as I wanted to make sure the young person that actually served me was the one who got the tip as they were excellent.

Great job manager Jessica I ordered a purchase from GrubHub and had it delivered and did not realize that it did not come with biscuits. I called thinking I’m the one that was right, but I was not the one that was right because a few I went down a little bit more on the menu, i would’ve noticed that there was two orders, but she nicely pointed that out to me and I looked kept on scrolling down and I did fine my order on there that I actually wanted so great to her because she still replaced it and she was very understanding about my mistake and I would hundred percent tell you to order here. ….. it is amazing great job Jessica Thank you again we allll loved it at work

We went for lunch midweek. There were 3 of us. There were only three other tables being served in the entire section on that half of the restaurant and the service was non existent.
Lily was the server and her abrasive and rude attitude was almost intolerable. She spent more time bantering and bickering with other staff than taking care of guests. She walked by our table several times without stopping proclaiming loudly “your order next!” While returning to kitchen area to discuss her haircut and how she keeps herself in shape.
I felt like I was being scolded when asking for a refill on my drink, since it wasn’t being done and was told “you want ONE more drink?”
The food was mediocre, warmish….the sparse serving of fries was barely warm and the bread tasted stale.
While this isn’t good, the filth was a real turnoff. Chairs were sticky, floor was dirty and the windowsill had dirt and dead bugs ….not something you want to look at while eating and it makes you wonder how clean other areas are that you CANT see.

Bob Evans is a decent bistro with a warm atmosphere, but it falls short when it comes to catering to vegetarian or vegan diners. The sole option I found was the buttermilk pancakes, which, I must admit, were pretty good.
My visit happened during a busy time, which might explain the service not being up to par, but the staff did seem genuinely kind. It’s clear they’re good people doing their best.
One interesting aspect is that they have merchandise available for purchase, which looked intriguing, though I didn’t buy any. All in all, Bob Evans offers a nice ambiance and tasty pancakes but could benefit from expanding their vegetarian and vegan offerings.
