The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I didn’t get much smokiness from the guajillo sauce, and it was pretty bland. However it was well stuffed and was large enough to keep you full for awhile.
The egg whites were nice and fluffy. The house potatoes are a nice change from other breakfast joints and they had good flavor and were fork tender.
The service was pretty lacking though. It was a pretty empty dining room and it took forever to get drinks ordered and it took a long time before the food came.
This spot is pretty low on my list of breakfast spots that I’d visit in the future.

AMAZING!! I’ve been looking forward to trying the Chilquiles and pancakes for awhile now, and was so glad that I did! The food was so delicious and the service was really great, too! The manager was walking around being very attentive trying to accommodate in any way possible. It was only me and my bf, to avoid having us wait a 45min wait (bc it does get very busy in the morning!) he offered two opened seat at the bar which were perfect! The waitress took our order promptly and our food didn’t take long considering how busy the place was. We got the Chilquiles with scrambled eggs, and hot chocolate which I would highly recommend, the supreme Chorizo Hash which my BF loved, it came along with a pancake, which was good and they also have: FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE!! Everything was honestly delicious and I cannot wait to go back! Anyone who gives this place a bad review is probably not a person to trust.

The essential breakfast house that offers a fusion of the classic American breakfast cuisine and el desayuno mexicano delicioso. Those chilaquiles were stealing my eye. The french toast was satisfying to the taste and appearance. The yogurt parfait was impressive in size and nutritional value. This is the most breakfast house of all houses. Muchas gracias por la comida buenaza! Tengo que volver pronto! /

They finally opened on Tuesday! We went around 1230pm (Saturday). Was seated right away. I believe all other tables were full. It was LOUD! Music was playing, but only heard that when patrons started clearing out. Lemon cream French toast, House burger comes with fries, potatoes, salad or fruit which were good options. Salad was a good size, basic green salad with cherry tomatoes n cucumbers. Burger was large and tasty. Blueberry compote was delish, which was on the lemon french toast plate. Great presentation! They will have their liquor license in 2 weeks. I guess byob for now…although when I asked, the gentleman was unsure. Server had tables all over the place, but for the most part, all staff was pretty attentive. Welcome to Oak Park!!

10/19/21 – back in town, we decided to try this place again (mainly because the place across the street (which we love) had a 45 minute wait) and ate here this morning. As our last visit, the service was excellent. Samuel did a great job. The food this visit was much much better, and we didn’t have any stomach issues this time. I had the Deiguito and my wife had the corn cakes. I’m upgrading the food rating to 5, from 3. We will try again.
8/22/25 – The service was excellent. The food was tasty, we had the Challah French toast (split it) with a side of bacon for my wife, and a side of sausage for me. I would give it higher marks, but we both came down with diarrhea afterwards. Sooo, something wasn’t right.

I walked over on a Saturday around 1pm and was seated immediately. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon, and drip coffee. Everything came to the table hot and fairly quickly. Solid breakfast choice.

An awesome spot for any meal of the day. The breakfast is my favorite as its so fresh and it all tastes great. The service is great and they always keep your coffee refilled. Parking can be a bit tough, but it’s not terrible.

Good food and strong coffee. Everything we’ve had is great, but hard not to get the chorizo hash every time. Genuinely the best pancakes I’ve had anywhere.
