As we entered the restaurant and unkempt person I cannot say really greeted us. It was more like he came over and said, “Yeah, how many?” He led us over to the portion of the restaurant that was filthy and dirty. There was food all over the floor, and he directed us to sit next to tables that needed to be cleared off and cleaned.
I will say that our waitress, Kaylie, was very personal and friendly.
The food was also very tasty. So, overall, the question is, will I return to this restaurant. Not any time soon.

Had a very eh kind of experience here then came back a few days later with my family early Monday morning and wow what a difference. The staff that day was the best ive ever seen, super friendly and helpful.. The cook even came out, greeted us, and helped the waitress bring out our food. The food was even different from days prior you could just tell by looking at our plates that it was prepared with care and appearance in mind.. Highly recommend going on that shift.

I was extremely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness during my visit. The coffee cups, silverware, orange juice glass, and water glasses all had visible residue on them and looked filthy. This is totally unacceptable for any restaurant.
When I asked the waitress for clean replacements, I was told, “Oh, this is how everything is.” I regularly dine at restaurants all over Battle Creek, and none of them have these kinds of sanitation issues.
I reached out to the corporate office, and they sent me a $10 gift card. I have no interest in using it, as I will not be returning. I would much rather see that money—and more—invested into properly fixing the cleanliness and sanitation problems.
For an iconic restaurant, this is a complete failure. I will never be back.

Food cooked by manager Franklin was best we have had there. On top of that he came out from behind the grill line and talked and checked on tables. Further more he also cashed us out when leaving. 5 stars are not enough for what he does.

Their food is incredible, and the waitress Annie is the best person ever. Her husband must feel really lucky to have her. In his life. Did a cousins reunion here because it was right off the hwy and we had family coming from both directions on 94. We had to wait several minutes for them to get 3 tables to put together. Unfortunately it was a long table so it made it hard to talk to people. Waitress was nice and got all of our orders right. But the food was good just nothing special.

FOOD: Food was hot an tasted good but the portions were not as described in menu, a customer next too an behind me had issue with stale burnt coffee an dirty mugs, over all food was a 3 on scale of 1-10.
ENVIRONMENT: Not very clean garbage left in windows seals, sticky tabels and ours was not the only one, bathroom unclean both mens and women’s.

Had a waitress named Stephanie. Absolutely filthy silverware. Brought the wrong soda several times. Plate had old food particles still stuck to the plate. Forgot my sons ranch dressing. Forgot my friends soup. The mgr., Kara seemed okay at first. She offered a 20% discount. We wasnt after free food…..but seriously….poor service repeatedly, and dirty plate and silverware??? These arent just water spots. Ypu cohld literally scrape food off of the silverware and plate. This Bob Evans is much like the South Westnedge location in Kalamazoo…..terrible. Dont go to these ones.
