Best experience at this location and this location only. Food here seems like more love was put into cooking it then the one located in Rockford Illinois where im from. I make the 35 minute drive just because of this. Great manager skills as the manager is doing a great job and the cooks and servers are on point .

I’ve been to many places, but this one is very clean and tidy. The overall environment is very comfortable. The bar is also very clean. The beef burgers are freshly made and have a great taste. You can take some vegetables from the salad bar and put them in to make it a deluxe burger. The chicken is also very delicious. My favorite is the smoothie. It’s super delicious, even better than those sold in specialized smoothie shops. The only downside is the banana pudding. It tastes good, but the banana slices inside are black, which is a bit disappointing.

I stopped by this place for dinner at 7:15 p.m.
The employees at this establishment do not want to work. They reluctantly gave me only one piece of steak, which was the reason I stopped by. And then at 7:30 p.m., they started cleaning the grill, even though people were still arriving.
For a long time, there was absolutely no one in the grill section, and the staff walked around the hall wiping tables, preparing to close at 7:30 p.m.!!!!!
This is definitely the worst Golden Coral of all the ones I’ve been to.
You are obliged to provide full service until closing time or not to serve newly arriving customers!!!!

Great restaurant. We came from Rockford to visit and decided to give it a chance. We were gladly surprised if how good or a restaurant it was. Li ster tail for 7.99, Christian the waiter was so nice and charming, the whole crew and the manager sang happy birthday to my kid, and the atmosphere in general was amazing ❤️ .

Would not recommend. Go elsewhere. Rockford/loves park, Golden Corral is far better. Tables here were dirty. Waited 10 minutes for our beverage after grabbing a table. The customers there had no manners.
The fried okra wasn’t cooked thoroughly. Super crunchy. The sautéed zucchini was the same. My son asked me if his chicken was done, nope. I asked for a piece of medium steak, this is rare. Not by temps, they weren’t checking the inside of the steak either.
Wouldn’t waste the time or money.

We have eaten in many Golden Corrals. This one takes top prize good hot food, service is always spot on and it’s clean. I did check moderate noise, but the place was packed it was Veterans Day. So, thank you for feeding
our Vets. Been here at lunch many times their busy but you have no trouble holding a conversation. Even as busy as it was we had no trouble holding a conversation. Our waiter Cristion was very attentive even as busy as they were.

We had a very positive experience. Employees were friendly, attentive, and did a great job. Someone dropped a full taco on the floor and it was cleaned up in a couple of minutes. The bathrooms had just been cleaned, so no issues there. Overall, the food was good and the correct temperature. The steak was good, though cooked longer than I would have preferred. It’s a buffet, so I was happy with the steak. The buffet itself was clean. I saw employees cleaning up several times. Even though our server was taking care of half the restaurant, we had drink refills quickly and used plates taken promptly. There were no spoons for the soup. I mentioned this to the server and spoons appeared in just a couple of minutes.

Went for our first time and had dinner. Food was good, my steak was amazing, There was a ton of variety and they kept everything freshly topped off.

The dessert options were a bit lacking compared to what’s listed on the website menu.
The biggest con was the bathrooms. GROSS! I didn’t see but what told that the men’s had urine and feces on the toilet seats and paper all over the floor. The women’s wasn’t as bad but could have used a cleaning. I spoke to the manager and he did address it promptly.
Over all we will try it again.

Take a look at your plate carefully, because I picked up two plates with a glob of mac and cheese still stuck on the sides of them. I did speak to the manager, and he was very courteous and apologetic. I wasn’t going to leave a review but a girl who was working in the food station did nothing but yell to whoever she was speaking to in the back. She reminded me of a pick-me girl. She was hollering throughout the whole time. I doubt if I’ll ever go back to that place.

Second annual Ground Hog Day trip to Golden Corral. Service was great. Food is always good. Got there for a bit of the breakfast for a waffle among other things. Dessert bar had a better variety than last year.
