Food and drinks were delicious!! They have an incredible early dinner deal which some of our party ordered. $5 old fashioned, and $3 off glasses of wine as well.
I got the appetizer of scallops and the mushroom ravioli. Fantastic steaks as well. Every cocktail our party ordered was delicious.

Wow wow wow! Chop blew us away! Everything was delicious. Pictured here is my vegetarian meal of mushroom ravioli, Caesar salad, and a decadent slice of key lime pie for dessert! I have absolutely no notes which is almost unheard of! Our server Vlad was also very helpful and provided great service to us!

We loved heading to Chop for their early dinner menu when we were in Sister Bay. It was such a good deal! For just $29.95, you get a three-course meal with a starter, entrée, and dessert—many options and big portions. The food was beautifully done: a fresh salad, an entrée cooked just right, and a sweet dessert that felt perfect, not rushed at all.
The vibe there was warm and upscale, but still casual enough for a laid-back evening. The service was spot on, attentive but not too much, and everything flowed just right. For the price, it’s one of the good dinner deals in Door County, especially given the quality of the food and overall experience.
Checking it out if you’re in Sister Bay and craving a tasty dinner without spending a fortune!

We’ve always loved coming here, which is why tonight’s experience was so surprisingly disappointing. On Valentine’s Day, we expected the level of service we’ve consistently received in the past, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Our woman server downstairs was largely absent throughout the evening. My girlfriend is gluten free, and there didn’t seem to be much interest in ensuring her dietary needs were properly addressed, including confirming whether the mashed potatoes were gluten free. She could’ve cared less.
She didn’t bring our food out, didn’t bring our free dessert out, and never once came back to check on us after anything was delivered. We weren’t asked how the meal was, whether everything came out correctly, or if we needed anything further. It genuinely felt like we were left to figure everything out on our own.
What made the situation even more uncomfortable was when she brought over the Toast payment machine with the 20% tip already highlighted and held it in front of me while I was signing. After receiving virtually no service throughout the evening, being put in a position where that option was presented so directly felt more pressuring than appropriate. It left us feeling awkward and obligated rather than appreciative, which unfortunately matched the overall tone of the experience.
We’ve always had exceptional experiences here, which made this visit stand out in a way we didn’t expect. We talked with a manager but received nothing but our tip back, which left us feeling a bit distasteful.

Lamb pops were amazing, fillet was very tender. Desserts were disappointing. We were seated upstairs – ambience not as good as downstairs. Very noisy upstairs compared to downstairs. Winter menu much better than summer offerings.

George, our waiter, was absolutely amazing! He’s very attentive, personable and charming. Our food was 5 stars! We had filet mignon and wagyu New York strip steak. Food placement on the plate was a masterpiece of art, stunningly exquisite. Every bite was savory. Dessert was the carrot cake. I expected just a plain piece of cake… but no it was delectable. Every forkful of food was a party on my palate. Highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for George to have exceptional service.

Recommended by family members and friends with a gift certificate for CHOP, we thoroughly enjoyed our time, our meal, and service was great! Celebrating our 32nd Anniversary also came with a complimentary dessert to share that was so tasty and a family recipe!
Both my husband’s and my meals were very good. And to mention that there were several menu items we would have liked to choose.
CHOP is a place you want to make reservations during the busy summer season. Glad we did! Indoor and outdoor seating were both options.
One of the things we didn’t care for is how close the couple seated next to us was on the bench seating. But that’s all we could find for a complaint. The other thing is to note that the appetizers are not very large for the price. But it’s the nature of the restaurant and atmosphere included.
