We came for lunch and it was terrific. My husband and I both ordered the chicken fried chicken- his sides were potato salad and fried okra. Mine were pinto beans and french fries. Everything was hot and delicious. Service was good and the prices very reasonable. The only disappointment is that they were out of the strawberry cake dessert we wanted to order. If we lived here we would visit frequently.

My burger ate dry, and the jalapeño cheddar bun I’d heard about never showed up in a way I could taste or recognize. Service felt distracted and mostly absent, and the sweet tea had that flat “been sitting” taste.
Worth it if you want a cozy place to sit and snack, especially if you’re in the mood for fried pickles more than a standout burger.

The decor is fascinatingly done with all sorts of antiques & eclectic ways of using them.
We ordered the Cheerleader Burger on Jalepeno Sourdough bread with Cheesy Broccoli rice casserole & the Fried Shrimp (huge! with a very light cornmeal breading) with Grilled Veggies & corn casserole sides. Both were very delicious!!!

Food and server were awesome. It hand a real country feel. Was concerned cause I dropped my knife on the floor, but the CF Steak was so tender I didn’t need it. This is the kind of place my grandpa used to take me. Will be back.

I’ve been coming here for a while and it use to be a great place to eat with good food and service but lately it’s been getting worse. The food comes out lukewarm and the service is horrible. I’m not sure what’s happened to cause the sudden change but I hope it gets back to being what it use to be.

Came here for the first time. The place is clean has a really good look to it. The waitresses and staff are kind. I wasn’t pleased with my food, the hamburger steak was so tiny I was kind of upset because it was a $16 meal

It was my first time here. Seated as soon as we walked in, took our drink orders with a smile. For a starter we tried the Fried Pickles, and they were good, though I little thin. It was a great atmosphere, great service, and the food was very very good. I had the chicken fried steak and it was one of the best I’ve tried. The portions are not big but they were filling enough so that you still have room for pie. Only down side was we tried to order pie and they did not have our first or second choice available. Being as we were there waiting on them to open I know it wasn’t that they sold out. It was good enough that we will definitely be back, for me mostly in hopes they have that Salted Carmel Pie. I recommend this place, if you’ve never been it’s worth a try.

Just save your money and eat somewhere else!! Food is bland, old tasting, and way overpriced! I’m not from Huntsville and was just passing through and decided to stop and get my kids and I something to eat. I ordered the fried catfish plate for 18.99 I’m a big fish lover, with a side of potato wedges and Mac n cheese. My son got the junior burger meal. After like 30 mins the waitress brought our food out. By my surprise there was only 2 skinny fish on the plate and the sides. For the price you would think it would’ve been more. The worse part though is that the fish tasted super bland and had a very strong mercury taste. The potato wedges were cold and tasted old like the ones that sit out for hours in gas stations. The Mac-n-cheese tasted very smoked, like charcoal. We asked for Mayo & cheese only on my son’s burger, I even repeated my order and they still put onions. The waitresses had very soft spoken voices and it was so hard to hear them speak when it was loud in there. I will not be returning! Unseasoned highly overpriced food! Disappointed is an understatement
