Never have a bad visit. They never even forget my sauce. The same girl usually runs the drive-thru and shes always friendly and styles her hair in the cutest ways tied back so its not in my food. When I have been inside it looks like a new restaurant.

Beef-a-Roo is my go-to spot for quick and delicious sandwiches. I love their diverse menu, which includes an extensive list of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and more.
The service is always fast and friendly, even during the busy lunch rush when the line keeps moving efficiently.
Their sandwiches are the best. The Avocado Turkey Jack is my absolute favorite.
All the ingredients are always fresh.
Try anything on the menu—it won’t disappoint!
There’s plenty of seating in the dining room and ample parking available.

Beef-a-Roo isn’t anything close to what it used to be.
It’s really quite sad what the new Private Equity company has done to sully what was once a tremendous Rockford Brand.
The food quality is nothing like it used to be, and it feels like the standard playbook for this day & age: Lower quality & higher prices.
**Addendum to the original review and response, and I think the best possible example of the attention to detail the new ownership brings to the restaurant.
They couldn’t even get my NAME correct in their response. Thank you for proving my point.

I’m visiting my hometown after moving away 5 years ago, and was so looking forward to having Beef-a-Roo. Sadly, Beef-a-Roo is not what it used to be. 3:30 PM visit so it was a quiet time, but my onion rings were over cooked and greasy. The malt was just okay and the Philly grilled chicken sandwich was completely different and not good. $16 wasted. I think the meal I had at Culver’s yesterday was far better. It makes me sad to say I will no longer miss Beef-a-Roo. It was too expensive for such a disappointment.

First of all we waited forever to order drive thru with only one car ahead of us. Beef a roo used to have the Best chicken strips ever! Not any more! We have ordered them several times lately and they are not close to what they use to be. This is the last time we will order them. It’s a shame that you changed this product!!!

I went there for a late dinner, and honestly, I ended up pulling off before completing my order. When service is bad, I usually just say, “Never mind, sorry to waste your time,” but I didn’t even get the chance. The person taking orders at the drive-thru was extremely unkind. The attitude was rude and completely unnecessary. If you’re having a bad day, it’s better to step away than take it out on customers.

They only had 1 cash register open and there was about 20 people in line. It took about 20 minutes to get to the register to order. I ordered a Double Cheese Burger minus onions but I should have also said hold the grease. My burger was drenched in grease and fell apart while try to take a bite, my fries were unseasoned and my onion rings looked like they were double deep fried. The only plus was my strawberry shake. I will never eat at the restaurant again.

Every item we ordered, but one was overcooked or oversulted. Our cheese curds were so bad. There was no cheese left inside of them

I had never heard of this place before traveling into illinois, it was decent and a lot less greasy than other food, I appreciated that they had vegetarian options.
All in all I would say it was really good for fast food!

I usually wait until I’m at home to leave these sorts of reviews. However, I just consumed one of the best double cheeseburgers I have ever had for about eight dollars.
There is no reason to go to another hamburger stand in this town. Treat yourself right. Go to Beef-A-Roo.
